I'm a fan of AJ but him and hearn have had their pants pulled down on this one imo.

I genuinley think hearns just doesnt want the fight right now. AJ IS his stable basically and he can print $$$ with him.

Joshuas last 3 performances haven't combined into impressive recent form which sounds silly but particularly against Parker he looked unconvincing to me.

Wilder had issues with Ortiz but in the end dealt with him in devestating fashion.

Deep down i think Hearn would rather wilder just go away, particularly as the Fury fight would be makeable in 12 months.

In the old days they could have got away with avoiding Wilder for a couple of years but with the internet etc if they dont fight him within 2 fights AT MOST his rep will be in the gutter.

Joshua has no reason to duck Wilder. Wilder does not want to fight Joshua, he never has and never will, he is afraid! Get it into your head, Wilder does not want to fight Joshua for any amount of money period! Wilder will fight Breazeale next, another Haymon fighter who will be willing to take a dive if needed. Joshua knocked Breazeale out easily, no problem at all.............................that makes Breazeale the perfect opponent!

Before all this recent stuff, I actually didn’t mind if they both had one more fight each as long as they fought each other next. If both camps end up announcing that a deal like that has been agreed, I don’t think anybody can really complain.

As for the Hearn stuff, you’re right - Haymon, Finkel and co have well and truely pulled his pants down. He was too over confident and arrogant with the “they can’t make us an offer and we’re the ones who will have to provide the money blah, blah, blah”

IMO Haymon and co probably wouldn’t have minded taking a UK deal if Eddie had come correct with a % offer and left out some of BS talk, but I guess after seeing the way he moved, they decided to round up some investors to put Eddie back in his box.

I think Eddie knows it will be a real rough fight for AJ even if he thinks he will win and he is intelligent enough to know that in boxing anything can happen so AJ being defeated even against a Povetkin must be in his plans.

I think there know worried about not having any control, the hole A-side stuff has been erased by the money on the table from the US that’s why there backtracking about it having to be a uk fight.

I wouldn’t be surprised, If there was also some awkwardness between AJ and Hearn as to what eddie’s Role/fee would be under a Haymon promotion.

I’m not going to call anybody a ducker until announcements have been made.

Joshua named his price, he tweeted "Let's Roll", but now he's waddling away from the fight.
Swiss Tony Hearn has made himself look a fool with his "Shirley Winkle" nonsense.
At the moment they look a pair of prize plums.

They are negotiating, it takes time. There was loads of tit for tat between both camps and fans when they were negotiating the Parker fight but it got made.

Joshua isn't my favourite fighter but I think his record so far shows he's up for fighting anyone.

Eddie doesn't tell Joshua who his fighting. Hearn will have input but to think he can stop AJ taking a fight is ridiculous.

AJ is pretty much his own boss and it would be him who decides when to take a fight.

Apart from Ortiz when he was made mandatory. It might not be his choice more the people around him. But somebody got in the ear of Mendoza and next thing Ortiz mandatory is revoked....... Wilder then took Ortiz as a voluntary & for that he gets my respect.

Of course they do not want it.

    Give us 50

    *50 is offered*

    Don't believe you.

    *proof is offered*

Well, it has to be in the UK

It's just barrier after barrier. Remember when AJ said he doesn't fight for money? Or when he'd love to fight in America? It's absolute nonsense. I used to think Wilder's side weren't interested at all but the opposite is proving to be true.

I haven't paid enough attention to say anything with conviction but just going by the headline snippets around the situation, it does seem like Hearn's the one playing games. I don't blame him - I'm sure it's a two-way street to a degree.

Spiel and spin removed, the bottom line is that the fight will be worth more if cooked longer. Not too long though as a defeat in the interim would kill the goose. Venue matters, home officiating and scoring is big with the potential for it to go to the scorecards. A loss wouldn't be catastrophic unless it's a bad KO and that's where it gets complicated.

There's no way to negate that and the chances of Wilder pulling it off are quite high imo. The most that can be done is to ensure as many of the advantages that can be played are won in Joshua's favour... which in turn has to be weighed against the risk of no safety net over more money.

How big is this fight really? It feels like the biggest fight in the sport to me, Golovkin v Mayweather is the only potentially bigger fight I can think of. I'd play games too.

After Fury beat Klitschko, Joshua's promoter said he wasn't ready to fight him. When Charles Martin won the paper belt on a freak injury, Joshua was ready.
His more recent record suggests he won't fight Povetkin in Russia or Wilder in the States.

aj and hearn don't want the fight it clear and based on recent form aj has lost that monster power which his fans seemed to think he had imo it's always been abit overrated and I don't see it putting wilders lights out but wilder can put aj to sleep with one shot that's why they don't want it imo

And AJ can out Wilder to sleep with one shot too. Joshua is not ducking Wilder..the fight will happen just not yet..and to say Joshuas power is over rated is straight up hating lol!

You dont like Joshua i get that, but you cant deny his power.
