Jarrett Hurd vs Kell Brook

Brook is a bigger puncher than Hurd.

Both guys fought Jo Jo Dan and it took Hurd longer to put him away. I think it was a tko stoppage.

Hurd really isn't a big puncher for a guy of his size. He just beats people down through accumulation whilst using his size advantage.

I'll happily close the book on Brook once he takes a loss in his correct weight class. You can argue both his losses were in divisions which did not suit his physique at this stage of his career - and no that's not excuse-making it's simply a matter of fact. And it confuses the hell outta me that people are high on GGG and Spence as potential P4P no1 but when someone loses to them he must be a busted flush.

As for the eye sockets: Well he's probably got the strongest in world boxing now, so there's little reason to expect those injuries to repeat.

So I wanna see Brook's next fight in July - with no doubt a step up in class - before we get anywhere near 'it's all she wrote' time. I think he's a beast at 154 and no way is Hurd lining up a beat down. It's a competitive fight in my eyes, and one Brook can win.

 

I thought Lara was supposed to be that guy? Why is it now lil Kell?

I fail to see how a very small guy who hasn't stopped anyone decent in his life is a nightmare opponent for Hurd?

But damn I don't think Brook should be facing a bloke so much larger, with a huge strength and power advantage who has non stop pressure? Pressure busts pipes, pressure busts Kell's brittle face.

Khan will be a mega favourite over Kell after Hurd chews him up.

Lara had hardly ever been marked in his career and Hurd busted up his face.
Imagine what he will do to Kell?

 

If it happens, I just hope the fight is as good as the one happening here between their supporters!

 

Brook throws the straighter, crisper shots. Hurd throws non stop.

Could Kell manage to land between Hurd's relentless attack and score something of significance before he gets worn down? Wouldn't be the first time in boxing something like that has happened.

This is a good fight. For fans of either guy to call it easy work is nonsense.

 

I’ll happily take that,still after Golovkin and Spence back to back and just a few rounds at the new weight I’d rather see him in another showcase fight before going for any titles
