    Carnera on points probably.

McCall is just going to end up trying to out Carnera Carnera.

McCall by knockout. I'd gladly lay big money on it as well, even if I had to take it at minus odds. McCall was a far better H2H fighter than Primo could ever dream of being, with actual rare if not outright unique attributes to his name like a all time great chin and a solid motor with good power. Primo had no excellent attributes to fall back on, he'd simply buy time with his mediocre skills & large size until McCall found his chin.

I see no reason Primo would do better than the underrated if not particularly exciting Henry Akiwande, whom McCall caught up to and stopped in the final round of their bout.

Akiwande had a consistent top shelf jab and solid power. He has wins over fighters like Schulz who plenty of supposed top fighters weren't particularly interested in fighting in their hey day is underrated in this day and age. He also pole iced solid prospects of his time like Maurice Harris with single punches. He could box and punch.

I don't see how Primo would beat his Henry's sound fundamentals and equal size (If not superior reach, Akiwande has a massive reach on him!)

    Here i must disagree.

Carnera was a far superior technician than McCall.

McCall might be able to stop him, but if he doesn't, it is going to be a clear decision win for Carnera!

I agree that Primo could box better than McCall, but boxing wasn't Oliver's game so that wasn't my point. Carnera was not a particularly durable fighter however and I feel McCall would catch up to him more times than not if they were to fight.

I always saw McCall as a relaxed counter puncher, who saw the opening that Lewis offered him, and took it when it was offered once too often.

I will go with Carnera here, but no money is going down!

Russell, for McCall to win, he would've had to have had a fire lit under his ass and emulate Baer in going after Primo...with no trance-like sleepwalking going on.

For Carnera to win he would need a chin and a punch ,pushing a left jab won't cut it.

True, if you factor in only the best of each fighter in these dream matches, then McCall can't help but win....but strange things happen in boxing matches...like a certain fighter walking around the ring looking up at the ceiling crying....but a thing like that couldn't happen again, could it?
Unfortunately, with a guy like McCall, that sort of thing has to be factored in. It would be Primo's only chance IMO.

That is a risky bet. I love the Atomic Bull as much as anyone. I have met him in person, and saw him fight live multiple times. But, Oliver can be outboxed. He is the epitome of a fighter with "Sparring Partner's Syndrome." Oliver was impossible to hurt, but, almost always did just enough to lose on the cards. His knockout of Lewis was very fortunate, and really says more about Lennox than it does about McCall. And, Akinwande was no longer a relevant contender at the time McCall beat him.

The Atomic Bull clubs that unmobile defenseless face to a pulp. No winning chance for the circus athlete via random oaf punch, since McCalls face is made of pure titanium.
