I didn’t realise terry Crawford was a mega weight cutter, saw his fight against that shot rican midget that everyone was frothing about and just assumed he’d cherry picked a name from the lower weights a la kahan Barrera. What a fcking farce that fight was

100% right. That clueless idiot Coldwell should have to answer to the board for this. McDonnell looked completely vacant even walking to ring. Could have been seriously hurt.

    He's the king of it.

He starved himself through extreme measures to make weight in the lower weight divisions. He almost passed out whilst being filmed on a documentary due to amount of fluids he was losing at rapid rate.

I agree we still need 24 hour before fight weigh ins but I'd like to see a cap on how much weight you can be before entering the ring on fight night. Say like 5lb max up to featherweight, 7lb Super Feather to welterweight then a maximum of 10lb after. Not sure how we could get it passed but the boxers health would certainly be looked after better.

I would also like to see mandatory hydration tests done on the boxers on weigh in day, science has came on so much that it should be easy to have a Dr at the weight checking the boxers hydrations and checking even just that their urine is within safe hydration levels.

simple peepee colour chart would do it, could tack it live from the bathrooms onto the undercard to snare a few extra ppv buys

Zero Fs given for McDonnell. He is a cold hard proven weight bully, and he got ironed out and got his just deserts. These weight bullies do not consider the affects of losing and then regaining huge amounts of weight just before the fight. It always catches up with them.

Its within the rules, but its not within the spirit of the rules.

    correct....

I love Crawford but i have also seen him making weight and its hard to believe its allowed!!

Will be intresting to see to see him after moving up to 147lb...He could actually be better as he is not killing himself on scales or he may lose his height and weight advantage....! its a tightrope

When Coldwell was criticised for David Price's performance he completely washed his hands of it and publicly hung Price out to dry. They were late to arrive in Japan but prepare for the excuses from him.

Whichever way you look at it.
Going halfway across the world to fight a monster puncher in his own back yard with weight issues of this magnitude is totally irresponsible.

The problem is it will be tolerated has been for years. Look at car to ruales. Gatti looked huge in comparison kod him brutally and left him with injuries. Too much money money involved and the fighters push the rules to 9th degree.

Test though camp and tests during the last few days with proper medics are needed. Isn't miky Garcia another huge cutter
