How do you think Mousasi would have done as a CW in boxing? Solid European-level maybe fringe world level guy? He has amateur experience and of course had success in K-1.

He went 12-1 as an amateur and he's got very good hands. He's obviously tough and got a really good chin too. I'm sure he would've done well if he'd dedicated himself solely to boxing.

I've never actually watched Page in MMA / Bellator (I'll watch this card later). Does he do all that goofy showboating he was doing before, during and after he made his boxing pro debut against that reticent midget?

Haven't people in Bellator been trying to make a Michael Page vs Paul Daley fight for ages, only for it to repeatedly fall through? If so, it's basically like the British MMA equivalent of Mayweather vs Pacquiao.

If Page plans on doing MMA and boxing, alternating between the two, maybe Hayemaker Ringstar can use Page's MMA career as the template for his boxing career and feed him a steady stream of Southern Area level cans without ever really advancing him.

I agree he seems to be avoiding the fight with Paul Daley for some reason who he should be able to beat instead of fighting the mediocre talent he keeps feasting on

I would have liked to see him at least get a title shot which I think he deserved but seemed to always be 1or2 fights away from getting.
Im certain if he was still in the UFC now he would pobably be next at getting a shot at the middleweight title

Me too and he is certainly good enough to have been a UFC champion and I fully expected him to become one had he not left the UFC.

I remember he was seriously considering representing The Netherlands in 2012. Not sure if he just ditched the idea or got injured while preparing to get qualified.

Interesting. I wonder what weight he was thinking about doing it at? I can only think of one current Dutch amateur boxer off the top of my head and that's the LHW Peter Mullenberg who is a 2 x European silver medalist. He's a very good fighter so I think Mousasi would've had to fought at HW if he did represent his country.

Yeah heavyweight is my guess. He MIGHT be able to drain to 175, but 185 is a rough cut for him so idk.

In 2013 he said he walked around at ''barely over 210lbs'' so HW would've been ideal for him.
