Jamie was done at the weight to be fair but this was always about levels. I was a little apprehensive about Inoue because I wasn't big on his resume - it still isn't great but within the context of 16 fights, you'd be hard pushed to find many better. He's still pretty young too. Even so, I didn't expect him to wipe out Jamie so easily, though I did expect the KO, but by body shot.

Anyone else see a little of GGG in him? Not so much the jab, but the ring cutting and the left to the body. And those vicious combos. Get him in the WBSS my lord and savior.

I made the comparison in the general thread at the time.

Yeah, always seen him as a pocket-sized GGG. The good thing is that he should be in the position to get career defining fights while he is in his physical prime.

He looked solid as hell at 118, and this could be the ideal weight for him. With his withering body attack and ability to cut off the ring, height and reach may not be big disadvantages. I’d still love to see him in there with sor rungvisai, who may be one of the few guys who could stand toe to toe and push him back.

some a-side meth talk here about golovkin, kovalev, inou etc. being "on something" which causes you punch hard with the upper body.

roids wouldn't cause that as the 90s era boxers were juiced to the brim.

the only logical thing would be very dodgy wrapping but we know that's most likely not the case.

Pretty sure things have developed since the 90,s mate. Just funny when you look back the big punchers we,re getting the same result but we,re at least putting their body into the punches. Planting their feet. These guys are hurting people without fully committing to the punch. Theirs something off with it to me. Very few can stand up too just their normal punches....their busting guys up in a round or two almost boxing withing themselves.

We all get that natural power varies but go back to shavers, hearns, all the big punchers i can think of of the past. They we,re planting their feet. Putting their body into the punches.

Actually does look like dodgy wrapping to me...even tho we know its not that. The result of their punches are a lot heavier than their throwing them. We could say its down to just technique...I ll be honest tho I m suspicious of all three of them as much as I like watching them all fight.

    Well said.

It's all rather a case of arrogant bitter Brits
who cant believe a relatively unknown asian could dispatch of their hero so effortlessly. Failing to realise that their boy wasn't very good to begin with.

Again not true at all. Not sure where your getting hero from. Have only seen McDonnell a few times...tbh he's hardly an exciting fighter to watch. Never watched the fight live caught it on here...wasn't actually aware of the Japanese guy or that McDonnell was fighting Friday.

Can assure you I m not a fan of McDonnell. Obviously want the Brit to win abroad. Watched a good bit of the Japanese guy last night for the first time...and he's absolutely leathal. I m much more of a fan of watching him fight than mcdonnell . I still think hes suspicious regardless.

What we,re seeing is the exact same thing you guys are accusing others of. These guys I ve mentioned are all great fighters. Great to watch. Pretty much the exact opposite of McDonnell. Maybe its your own hero,s that your not being quite honest about. Because that Japanese guy has got to be looked at. That's not just natural power. As I,ve said there not even throwing fifty percent on their power and busting good proven world level fighters up in half a round. It would be stupid not to be slightly suspicious of it.

What my problem is...is the powerful hitter stuff. Their not even using fifty percent of their power and wrecking guys. I ve seen some of the boys fights...its like sticking them in with a superhuman. They can't deal with just his normal punches let alone his power punches. That's when you,ve got to at least start querying it.

Think his amateur record was something like 78 wins 48 stoppages. 6 defeats. Surprised he's not stopped more opponents in the amateurs with power like that. Not like he was an A plus Olympic star either.

As I ve said where are these guys generating that power from cause it doesnt look like its from their legs. If that's the case a lot of professional boxing trainers need to go back to the drawing board.

There's nothing to be looked at.

McDonnell was never world level. This is your problem.

Jamie is a bum where you seem to believe he is elite because Matchroom built him up to be a great bantanmweight.

The boy has no punch resistance because he became accustomed to fighting bums who never hit back with any purpose.

Inoue's punches didn't need much leverage behind them to hurt your boy.

    .

No real interest in McDonnell. The problems not about him. Its about the japanese guy punching like a mule with every punch without even committing to it. His less that fifty percent power is wrecking guys similar to golovkin did. These guys have started turning up...that seem to have this incredible balance. I m saying that tremendous balance is coming from them not relying on their legs for power. Its coming from their upperbody. That's what's allowing their balance to be so good. I m not sitting saying 100 percent on drugs. There's definetely something not adding up tho.

Again I ve no real interest in McDonnell...the Japanese guys wrecked a good few of them so far.

Go and watch kovalev and see how he effortlessly knocked out opponents with standard straight 1-2 punches without much leverage and you will begin to understand that there exists fighters gifted with formidable power.

Nathan Cleverly after being completely wiped out by the Krusher, recalled how every punch felt like hammer and bricks landing on his head.

Kovalev who has been enrolled with VADA testing consistently throughout his career. Now are you going to tell us that his power is suspicious on the basis that he isn't leaning back and swinging wildly like a caveman to knock out his enemies?

Kovalovs another that's not relying on his legs for power. Definitely suspect. Exact same thing I m talking about. What are these Russian areas and now by the looks of it Japanese guys doing differently that other countries. Three guys I ve mentioned golovkin. Kovalov and the Japanese guy.

So let me get this straight, if they don't rely on their legs for power, that means they are most likely on steroids even though there are no other signs of roid use?

Come on this is ridiculous, stop wasting my time with this nonsense.
