The best guy in the division should always get the lion's share. Same if Inoue comes to the UK to fight Burnett he should get the lion's share.

I watch boxing to see who the best is, not who earns the most money. Especially if it's against a proven drug cheat.

If you don't wanna waste your time then don't. My mind is already made up on the matter tbh.

If Canelo wants the fight he'll take the 50% or he'll negotiate a better deal for him. I'm quite happy for the fight not to happen with the Clen scandal but if it does I'll watch it anyways. So I'm in a win-win. I'm not really a fan of either boxer, you are a fan of Canelo. That's why your invested in this.

Apparently it is not too short to discuss how much money other people earn / should earn and simply be a hater.
Whats with the sudden moment of clarity?

Canelo never called out for the fight in the first place.. He was pressured into it and probably could have done without it if he had the choice.

He doesn't need , or care about this rematch either. Its Golovkin who wants the fight and Canelo is still the A -side taking on the bigger challenge so nothing will change when it comes to negotiations. .
To expect him to offer GGG a 50/50 split out of the goodness of his heart is pure comedy. This is a cutthroat business. Wake up and smell coffee ffs :ladiesman:

Does anybody know how much both of them made from the 1st fight and what Canelo got against Khan?

I don't want Canelo to be offering anything that's the point.

As a boxing fan (if you put aside your hate for a minute) does this kinda thing not **** you off? Imagine if Ali did that when Liston was champ "nah mate I'll only fight you if I get 50/50" or if Duran did that against Buchanan, or even Leonard against Benitez.

This is the worst conclusion of the proliferation of belts, that the status of champion is no longer respected. You said it yourself perfectly, Canelo could have carried on making millions without ever facing Golovkin. Look at Bellew now for example, fought a criple twice and made more than probably his whole career combined.

Whatever happened to the days of challengers wanting to fight the best to prove themselves.

You again said it perfectly, cut throat business. Were fights are made or not based on the difference of 2% at the negotiation table.

Its why I've gone off boxing a bit. Only in this sport can the drug cheat be the one calling the shots when negotiating with a unified champion. Part of me wants Golovkin to stick to his guns and tell Canelo to do one, but then Canelo will still rake the money in no matter who he fights.

The real kicker, Canelo is calling the shots because he's a charismatic redhead Mexican. Nothing to do with talent, ranking, resume or record.

What kind of bs is that.

Putting your hate back to the forefront again you probably love that Golovkin is getting bossed about like this but as an actual fan of the sport this **** does my head in.

60/40 is fair 50/50 ggg can **** off. He won't make that purse with anyone else. Canelo has more options here and is the money man.

50/50 is definitely fair, it's just not realistic and that's what most of this guys don't seem to understand.

Golovkin is the money man, Willy Maggot just cant accept it which is why he keeps insulting EE’s and sending me inappropriate Messages that many will find disturbing.

Im merely presenting you with the harsh reality of the situation. The original deal for the rematch is no longer suitable for Golovkin cos he feels he needs to be compensated for the cancellation and wot not.
The rematch deal was another career high pay day for him so he should do as the former great fighters you mentioned did and embrace the opportunity to get the guy into the ring so he can leather him and take everything he has.

Too bad for him he won't obliged for all the slander he and his them thew at Canelo and Hoya. GB gave him two career high pay days back to back yet its still not enough for him. He wants more.

Canelo's thought process going into the Floyd and Cotto fights was agree to everything as long as it meant getting them into the ring.
That should be GGG attitude opposed to taking the attitude of a spoilt diva.

And you're right , i couldn't give a tinkers cuss about Team Canelo do , because id rather see Golovkin take fights against Saunders , Charlo and Sergiy.
He's been leaching off Canelo for way too long and by doing that he's holding up the rest of the division. Thats all there is to it.

Did former great champions take the short straw against challengers? It's a champions prerogative to call the shots but I'm not following this sport to see who makes the most money.

My preference of fights for G:

    BJS, Groves, Canelo, Murata, SD.

BJS, Murata and if he gets past those two the winner of the SMW WBSS for me.

That’s a perfectly sane way of viewing this, what money they earn has nothing to do with us anyway.

How many actual world titles has Canelo had anyway.
Strange career to look back on when he’s finished,Floyd did the catchweight thing but he’d already won loads of titles in the sport.
His mentor Oscar won plenty and I wonder if he thought I’m never gonna let Canelo get the wrong decision like he did?
