Efe Ajagba born 04/22/1994 is a 6'5 Heavyweight with a 5-0 5 KO's record. Born in Ughelli, Nigeria and fighting out of Stafford, Texas, USA. Hailing from the heavy handed iron chinned land of Samuel Peter, Efe has all the makings of a ferocious force to be reckoned with, especially his terrifying, sinister, vicious straight right. I haven't seen genuine somnolence inducing Deontay Wilder-esque power, well since Deontay Wilder. This mother****er has the right hand of doom, he grazes guys with it and its like a sedative, their asses immediately go into a hypnagogic state, if he connects flush, they're off to never never land. Efe a former footballer, is relatively new to the sport, he turned amateur back in 2011, and had an impressive resume of 41-2 30 KO's as an amateur, with a win over Junior Fa, only losing to the brilliant Ivan Dychko and Big Bad Joe Goodall. He won a gold at the 2015 African Games, bronze at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, and represented Nigeria at the 2016 Olympics. In 2017 he turned pro, and signed with Richard Schaefer's Ringstar Sports, and hooked up with super trainer Ronnie Shields, who's over the moon with excitement, with his new prospect. Efe has most of the fundamentals down from what I see, he's quick on his feet, cuts the ring off well, feints quite well, sets up his power shots behind a decent jab, and what a power shot it is, its going to lay flat many a pretender, hell, I'd pick Efe to bulldoze Gorman, Kean and Dubois right now, they have power, he has dynamite in his knuckles. He calls himself a beast with a capital B, he very well may be right. So Check Out A HW prospect I'm actually excited about, The Nigerian Sedative Efe Ajagba.:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg

For the record, his old nickname was King Kong, which he changed after turning pro, for obvious reasons, and he';s taken the new moniker of The One & Only, and recently referred to himself as a Beast with a Capital B, hence my thread title.

He OK, but a bit upright & slightly wooden.
He needs to loosen up a bit, maybe its because he knows there's not a lot likely to be coming back from most of these guys...after the first few punches ,the look on there faces was like " Who's idea to put me in with this guy"...bit like Canelo when he hit GGG full power on the chin & GGG never even blinked & just kept coming...yeah just like that!

Ajagba hasn't faced murderers' row, but looks promising.

Didn't Ajagba lose to Dychko in the olympics in Rio?

He's the antithesis of Wilder, willing to work on fundermentles while not relying on his power alone, just hope he doesn't fall into the ego trap of being invincible, he'll go far has everything going for him atm, athletic, power as long as he don't fall into the trap of ego he'll make it to the top

Yep, but that was one of only two losses he suffered in the amateurs. There's nothing to be ashamed of losing to a talent like Dychko though.

Gotta admit I was buzzing after his performance on the PBC card last night. He certainly passes the eye test - looks fundamentally solid, has all the physical gifts, and that straight right was absolutely on the money.

His humility after the fight was good to see, because it also suggests he will be humble in the gym and not difficult to manage...who knows.

Whatever happens in future, I’m hoping we see him added to the already intriguing mix of characters and contenders at heavyweight.

Definitely keeping my eye on this guy.

    I'd take Ibeabuchi. Ha!

But, yeah, first time I saw him fight was last night. His build reminds me of Teofilo Stevenson. Appears to have real power. Anxious to see what he has moving forward. You couldn't tell a darn thing with his opponent last night.

Man, Ajagbe and his promoters got a real gift the other night when King Tug got the early KO - it allowed the Ajagbe fight to be shoehorned onto the telecast, getting him a ton of prime time exposure. I’m sure I wasn’t the only person sat at home like “holy ****, who the heck was that?!”. That was one of the cleanest KO’s you are ever likely to see - exactly what the casual viewer wants to see when tuning to ESPN. I’m sure he picked up a lot of new fans last night.

In reality, he is closer to 6'2'' rather than 6'5''
