Good performance by Till he was never available for the counter which kinda threw Wonderboy off.

Till missed weight but he never made any excuses so it mitigates it a bit.

I didn't see Thompson losing for years other than to Woodley but right now it seems we have a new talent to test Woodley for championship gold. Till has to get a title shot now, anyone else would be a joke. Aside from maybe GSP.

Hardly a good performance considering he came in over(probably deliberately) and won by the skin of his teeth against a guy he dwarfed physically. Something needs to be done about these weight bullies. The fact that every UFC fighter that's missed weight this year who's been allowed to compete the next day won is a pretty telling.

Yeah but he was a huge underdog even after the weigh in. He also won on points which no one expected from him.

Outpointing Wonderboy is a great performance in my book, Thompson is an ATG talent.

Not everyone. Molly Mccann weighed in over weight and lost.

Just finished watching **** main event I was expecting alot better fight and a finish either way, I scored it 48-47 wonderboy but not suprised Till got hometown decision and wonderboy gets screwed in close fight again.
The weight advantage definately had an impact and helped Till win in this fight and 7 out of 7 wins for fighters who were overweight this year.

MMA fights are so much harder to pick then boxing,I think out of the 11 fights only 4 favourites won

Especially if a fight goes the distance, it seems.

Whereas I tend to be cerebral and carefully weigh up my boxing picks, I have a feeling a lot more of my potential MMA picks will be emotionally-based (as in, even if Till fights Woodley at Anfield for the UFC Welterweight title, I'll probably still end up picking Woodley UD due to my dislike of Till for weight bullying and for his cringiness, even though I think Dana might try and find a way to stitch Woodley up because of the discord between the two).

I had Thompson winning 3-2 . Since Till didn't make weight this won't change the WW ranking.

True. But she was taking a significant step up in class here, so I suppose the two things cancel each other out in this scenario.

That's the right way to go IMO. It becomes ridiculous if you have people installing Till as the new #1 contender at Welterweight, despite him missing the 170 limit against Thompson.

The only ways I can see of any arising contention being resolved is for UFC to sanction a Thompson vs Till rematch stateside at 170, or for Dana to lean on Till to make the move up to 185.
