Yeah, that version was quicker and faster, but so was Mayweather.
I think what it comes down to is Pacquiao by then being shopworn with the added addition of being put to sleep by Marquez. Not only did that effect Pacquiao, but it gave Mayweather himself the confidence that Pacquiao wasn't indestructible and could be taken.
