Don't have a problem with it as long as Canelo is fighting Charlo, or Jacobs. Something tells me he will take the easier fight with Saunders or O'Sullivan

They can up the ante a little bit on the grounds of Canelo eating tainted meat like an idiot, but 50/50 isn't going to happen..PERIOD!

Already seen the fight once. The division is too hot to be wasting time on a fight neither fighter was able to make their mark in. Canelo and GGG are the top dogs at MW. A clear loss for either would do nothing but lessen my interest in future matchups for that fighter in the division. Considering how the first fight went theres a good chance we will come out yet again with unanwsered questions from both fighters wasting yet more time for other good matches to take place.

Eric Gomez said today that Lemieux is also a possible opponenet :D Anyone who thinks Canelo is going to fight with that 3 is stupid.

I have to agree on this. But I dont think that he is greedy, and its about that + or - 5-10 million, its about the fact that he wants 50-50.
He just walked away from 20-25 million, Devyrechenko fight wont even reach 200K PPV, while Canelo vs Spike or Lemiux will do at least 500-600K PPV.

If GGG is enough wise, he will accept the 35%. That 35% still many times more than 70% of a Jacobs or Saunders fight.

I think both sides are being unreasonable at this point. Which is annoying because this is a critical period of time as the IBF is deciding whether to let the fight happen or not without forcing Golovkin to vacate. All this bickering, unreasonable offers and unwillingness to negotiate may make the IBF less willing to allow the fight to happen in September when they make a decision probably by tomorrow.

At this point, it's just very frustrating that it appears that this fight may not happen. These guys are wasting their primes delaying the fight and possibly fighting other less than top level opposition rather than the one guy who will take each of them into deepest waters and fulfill the fans appetite for a Super Fight.

It's unbelievable to me that a little bit of contaminated meat could throw such a sure-thing rematch into such chaos, and honestly it's embarrassing to boxing for this whole charade to be playing out like it has. This fight needs to happen in September OK. If it doesn't, whoever's fault it is, it's gonna suck. I'm never going to forgive either Team GGG or De La Hoya if they can't do whatever it takes to make this fight happen.

Both sides are being greedy. GGG does not deserve 50/50 and it's really absurd for him to ask for it with the IBF decision looming, at the same time DLH shouldn't come out with a statement like that saying the terms have to be the same as the first fight. As a fan, this is one of the reasons why I like both Canelo and GGG. In that they showed a willingness last year to make the fight happen and recognized the need for a rematch and agreed to it. The kind of bickering going on right now is the kind of BS we wanted to forget about with what happened with Mayweather Pacquiao. Canelo and GGG were supposed to be better than all that BS and what's going on right now only reminds us of all that Mayweather Pacquiao BS and with those guys we ended up with a fight where both guys were past their best and it didn't deliver like it would have if it happened years earlier.

Now Canelo Golovkin did deliver last September, it was way better than Mayweather Pacquiao but it was supposed to be only the beginning of a series of fights between the two combatants ! What made it so interesting was that we had more battles to look forward to around the corner. Now look at what's happened over the last several months, it's pathetic ! So now what : the IBF's gunna rule tomorrow that Golovkin has to fight Derevyanchenko by Aug 3rd and that'll be that? This just straight up sucks, is Golovkin really gonna be forced to defend his title against a guy with 12 pro fights robbing the fans of the rematch they deserve and the biggest fight in boxing? I don't know who to be mad at anymore, but the future of the MW division is now in the hands of greedy promoters and an IBF who have their priorities all out of whack !

    This.^^^^^^^

The ball is now in GGG's corner and expect him to counter. Show ain't over yet folks.
(unless neither side blinks from their current stance, then bye-bye rematch)

It'd be a travesty if the rematch doesn't happen in September. I feel like the IBF holds the keys. I think their decision probably by tomorrow may determine what happens. If they say Golovkin has to fight his mandatory Aug 3 or be stripped, I just can't see him vacating that title to re-negotiate with Canelo. And what has me worried about the IBF not allowing the rematch to take place is all this bickering between K2 and DLH. If all this bickering wasn't going on, I'd be hopeful that the IBF would let the rematch happen in September. Now I'm not so sure.

I mean how can the promoters expect the IBF to allow the rematch to happen if the promoters involved don't seem to even want it. (DLH saying Canelo's moving on, K2 demanding a ridiculous 50/50 split) I mean if the two sides were on the same page and committed to the rematch, then surely the IBF would be more willing to let the fight happen.
