They're doing a terrible job with Yarde.

Outside of boxing not many know him.
In the industry not many rate him.

Agreed. We all know it’s a massacre if he’s in with the top fighters in the division but surely he can go in with 10-25. Instead of 100-250?

    I don’t think there’s been a fighter he’s thought who’s had more than 2/3 weeks notice

I don’t know if this is the case here, but frank sometimes does this weird practise of not announcing opponents until late on until a promotion. There’s been a few occasions recently with Yarde opponents, the upcoming Fury
bum and Truax for Degale 1 when all have confirmed that they new about the fight in advanced and had been in training.

I don’t understand it, it’s not as if it will affect ticket sales or anything as none of those guys are big ticket sellers, but will draw high viewer ratings.

9 KOs from 27 wins? There's a recurring theme here...

That guy actually lost to Holzken's pre Smith showcase opponent. Not much of a step up if it's really him.

This is the same guy who was scheduled for April so at least that answers the question over the opponents preparation time.

As I’ve said before probably on this thread, I think Frank needs to go for more recognisable names who are on the same type of level as Sek or Averlant etc. Only because the perception on forums like this is that Sek is going to be a “Hungarian bum” when the reality is that he’s a competent European level southpaw and would easily be the best opponent that Johnson, Burton and definately Buatsi would have faced if they fought him.

After this guy we do need to see a better name - somebody like Boesell or Mario Kurat if they stick with the euro type opponents or preferably go British - Ricky Summers, Johnson, Burton (this would now make sense) etc
