Golovkin will have to concede ground on the financial if this is to happen. As much as Golovkin won't like it, as much as some may think he deserves it, and I do, to gbp this fight is about money, no legacies, no pride, money and they want as much of it as they can squeeze out of that event.

I do wonder if the money is the only change to the may contract Golovkin wants to make, there were plenty of concessions he wasn't happy about making in the 1st or the may fight but after all that's happened maybe he's not so willing to make them now.

The fact that he fought the top 2 Jr MWs, and the top MW says a lot about Canelo. especially when you factor in that Lara and Trout were high risk low reward fighters.

Trout was an A fighter when Canelo fought him having beat Cotto and I also had him beating Jermall Charlo. Trout is definitely past his best at this point, but in his prime he was a force.

Canelo has never had a fight fall through because of money or weight, he despite being the cash cow has always conceded. The one time there was money problems was against GGG who wanted a big piece of the pie, and its no surprise GGG has had money get in the way of other potential fights and almost missed out on Jacobs because of money. It is also my opinion that they thought Jacobs was getting KTFO but ended up being a close disaster and for that reason I doubt GGG will ever give Jacobs a rematch.

Canelo is under NO obligation to offer GGG more than the last fight. Canelo is the draw. Period.

GGG is under no obligation to accept the deal on the table. He has a right to ask for, negotiate for as much as he can get.

They both have the right to walk away if they can't agree to a number. It's not a duck or coward on either side. They've already fought and proved they aren't scared.

You don't get what you deserve or what you are worth, you get what you negotiate for.
