I think a few of these placings are dubious, how would you rate the rankings in terms of power and finishing abilty?

    Very difficult to tell.
Fitzsimmons, Jackson and Shavers would have to be in the mix though.

If it's going to be p4p, then there'd have to be a lot of lower weight guys in there like Khaosai Galaxy, Jimmy Wilde, Carlos Zarate, Jaime Garza, Little Red Lopez, etc.

Absolutely, if we’re talking pound for pound...we gotta include Bazooka Gómez, Ruben Olivares, and Sandy Saddler.

Julian Jackson and Bob Foster also immediately came to mind.

the way people reacted to jacksons punches tells you alot about how hard he hit. mccallum had an iron jaw! mclellan had a very good chin but also bigger.

Wasn`t Fitzsimmons speciality a punch to the heart though? Were his shots to the head that hard?

How about Arthur Abraham for a modern shout?

He may not have the crisp snappy technique some of the others here do, but when it comes to raw power this guy was scary.

Langford, Julian Jackson, and Fitzsimmons seem to me like the top candidates at first glance.

The fastest pound for pound oddly enough might be Butterbean. Seriously.

I wish BoxedEars would give his 4 sents on this subject. Hr needs to leave Louis' Sweet Shop where he is waiting for his home skillet to return his autographed coppies of Harlem QUINS romances that he read while in the hoosgow in Little Itly on a trumped up charge of mopery. COMON BOXEDEARS! YOUR CONSTITUENTS NEED YOUR GUIDANCE. WHO WAS HISTORY S HARDEST SOCKER? Dempsey? Louis? MARCIANO? Graziano? Frias? Atlas? Olivares?
