Sorry don't agree with Trout and Lara I had Canelo winning both those fights, I thought he was dominated by both Floyd and GGG though.

 

Canelo had been fighting at 155 prior to his fights with Cotto and Khan don't act like he suddenly gave advantages for those fights to be made, Cotto was neer the real champion at 160 regardless due to him draining all his opponents at that weight.

As for Trout hes not A level, never has been A level and if you post like I asked his top 3 wins then you would see that, hes competitive with the A level fighters but he's never beaten the elite at 154.

Finally, Golovkin made the 154 to 168 statement when he couldn't get anyone to fight him, prior to him becoming a marquee name.

Are we to hold all fighters to everyword they say? If so why has Ward not fought at heavyweight yet? Why did Ward not accept 164 when it was mooted considering he would go to 160 for Floyd?

Just remember between Cotto and Canelo they never once fought a true 160 fighter without being drained whilst they where champions up until GGG......

The real problem is Oscar and his pet chicken are angry about taking VADA testing, blames it on Golovkin, there is also a problem with the referee and judges.......................I would ask 60/40, El Pollo lost the first fight and should want the rematch, but he needs that tainted meat, judges, referee, etc. Ever wonder why El Pollo will not fight anywhere except Vegas? WOW! I didn't know GBP was offering Golovkin as much as 35%.
I was just commenting on another thread that Manny Pacquiao never was willing to concede more than 25% to Juan Manuel Marquez even though the public perception was that Marquez beat him every time they fought.

Golovkin should consider himself fortunate that Canelo and GBP are offering as high as 35%.

 

I'd like to see the 160 Champions and other top names freeze Canelo out for as long as they can.

If he wants a title shot make him get in line, make him get a mandatory position and then let him get a challengers split.

In the meantime just let Canelo sell the likes of Spike, Heiland, Monroe Jr.

Everyone has their own opinion & that's how it should be.

 

Canelo had two fights at 155, one with Lara, and the other with Angulo.

The other two were demands made by Cotto's team and Khan's team. I would say that fighting at 155 would favor Khan and Cotto more than it did Canelo.

He's beaten Miguel Cotto, and Jermall Charlo, and had a very competitive fight with Canelo, to me that makes him A level. Someone that is B level is someone like David Lemieux, that despite having a title he has never beat any A level fighter, is one dimensional, a one trick Pony. Jesse Vargas is another example of a B level fighter. Austin Trout won his A level status, and in his prime was very skilled and would hang with the best, even beat them. He was an A level fighter no matter which way you cut it.

Now that is BS 100%. Between 2012-2017 GGG and his camp have claimed he would fight between 154-168 at least half a dozen times. GGG has always been about the money over legacy and his word. He has been waiting for big paydays since HBO started hyping him, claiming he is a small MW who can make 154, claiming that he is strong enough to fight at 168 and even 175. When when his bluff got called the truth came out and he was only willing to move down for Mayweather or move up for Chavez Jr. Why make all this noise about fighting anyone between 154-168 then? Very disappointing, especially when you look at how thin his resume is.

You're comparing apples to oranges. GGG has stated that he would fight anyone at 154-168 multiple times when the reality is that you would only fight someone who is a high reward. I don't believe GGG is interested in legacy, his actions do not support that thought and claim. He didn't want Ward, he hasn't fought Saunders, Derevyanchenko, and his manager has stated that he would not fight Charlo. He truly only wanted the Mayweather payday, he saw Ward as too much risk and very little reward and he jeopardized the first Canelo fight and is jeopardizing the Canelo fight rematch over money.

Exactly, that's why I don't blame Canelo for wanting to take the JR fight before fighting GGG. It was a decent fight on paper to see how he would against a bigger opponent.

Also I thought the way Cotto destroyed Daniel Geale was great and much better than how GGG did it. Cotto's performance against Geale was near flawless. And yes maybe the 3 pounds Geale had to shed may have taken some toll on him, but I doubt it was signicant. It wasn't like he was moving down an entire weightclass.
