Every single day, multiple times a day Frank Warren is posting “he’s back” videos and absolutely nothing on “Turbo”. He’s on the cusp of being a two weight world champion and receives **** all promotion from Frank? He’s been handled terribly.
34 fights or whatever it is, world champ, no profile, no promotion, never beat a decent name in top 10. Opponents like 40 year old Mzonke Fana, the first open gay boxer orlando cruz and peter pan petrov are just a joke. this is the definition of frank warren promotions and matchmaking- you only need to look at Yarde and in particular Dubois match making who beat a light heavy for the WBC youth champ haha
He deserves a bit more. His promotion/matchmaking has been bad but that's only half the problem, the guy has no personality or charisma whatsoever.
Ye but its up to frank to make sh*t up. he should be promoting him as the least charismatic boxer therw has ever been, with zero personality. Make something out of that, eddie would. Dont forget theres no such thing as bad publicity As a promoter you have to promote ur fighter, irrelavent of whether you have nas or turbo. You make something out of it. Turbo whilst been on the cusp of been a 2 weight w.champ, is promoted 0%
This content is protected What a joke. The whole event has been built on Fury's comeback and as you say no promotion has gone into the Flanagan fight. For Warren to try and claim they are not selling this as Fury being the main event is laughable.
I would like to see Flanagan sign a management deal with MTK -I dont necessarily like some of the characters involved in the outfit, but they do a great job with their fighters and as we have seen, with the stuff in Ireland/Frampton they seem to get the best out of Warren. They can’t do much about his lack of personality, but they can help in other areas as some have suggested.
Flanagan is technically very good but he's really dull to watch and even duller to interview. I'd rather watch Hughie Fury v Parker 2.
A month or so back secondsout uploaded a Terry Flanagan interview along with a bunch of others involving 'prospects' or other unknown guys. All these interviews had hundreds of views, some might have had a thousand or so, but Terry was stuck on 98 views! 98!!!!
frank is terrible all he seems to do is build up trash like yarde who will be knocked out as soon as he fights a fighter with a pulse when he should be building up fighters with talent
To be fair I've see a fair of promotion for turbo on Facebook there's just been a highlight of him stopping Magdaleno in 2 on there. He's just an incredibly dull fighter all round
Ye, i saw a vid of him in the gym last wk and he looked sharp. I just dont know why fighters stay at a weight that theyve outgrown. Turbo has been saying that hes been struggling badly at 135 for over a year now. We shall see come sat night but as of yet, turbo is looking good.
