The fights Floyd Joy took at 147 was Mitchell, Judah and Baldomir at the time when people was talking about a possible fight with Margarito.

Are you honestly saying those are better victories or fights to be made than Margarito at the time?

He wasn't really "caught", an USADA official actually helped him administer an IV. That's how corrupt USADA is.

For as good a fighter Mayweather was, I cant rate him in my top 15, maybe even not in my top 20 all-time, simply because he didn't prove himself against all-comers and didn't fight the different styles to be fought.

Tszyu, Margarito, and Williams were difficult style matchups for him he simply stayed away from, then even toward the latter part of his career he stayed clear of the speed of Amir Khan.

How would Mayweather do against the relentless pressure of Margarito who could run through punches thrown at him?
How would he do against a Paul Williams that toward over him?

How would he do against a fighter much faster than he? How would he dissect Amir Khan who would have been significantly faster than he was at the time.

Mayweather rarely displayed his skills against fighters where he would be at a physical disadvantage as far as height, reach, and speed.

Mayweather became a specialist at fighting the slow and the tough.

Judah was faster and punched way harder than margo (especially w/o concrete)
mosley hurt cheato, destroyed him. may handled his power. cotto got hit a lot by mosley.
cheato v money would be much like the baldo fight.

let's see it, i have yet to see anything proving there was plaster in the wraps. you've obviously seen it, otherwise you would just be talking out your ass, so please be the first in 1/2 a decade to actually produce this written record.

wasn't baldo lineal '47 at the time?
    i really don't recall...
if so, then that belt or even the wbc would be worth more than whatever margo had, if he had one

dont pass the buck, scars been full of chit for the dozen years ive been reading this forum. Youre the one telling me there is a record of the forensic evidence proving there was plaster in the wraps. im not saying youre a liar, yet... but i want to see what all of you claim exists, yet nobody can produce.
margo is a thug, i got little use for him, but i respect his heart cause its got no quit, which is a hell of a lot more than i can say about many other boxers. me questioning the truth about the situation doesnt make me a margo fanboy, it makes me a poster who walks the chit he talks.

Baldomir was the lineal welterweight champion coming off high profile victories over Judah and Gatti. It was a better fight for Floyd than facing a guy whose best win was over a relatively untested Cintron and who was facing guys like Shotgun Gomez at the time.

Judah was previously a lineal champ at welterweight,a two division champ, and still held the IBF strap when he fought Floyd. His body of work in general was at least as good than Margarito's at the point when he fought FMJ. Plus, Mayweather and Judah had agreed to the fight even prior to Judah's fight with Baldomir.

Mitchell was Floyd's first fight in the division and, as a slick southpaw, served as an adequate tune-up for a fight with Judah that, once again, had been set in stone as early as the beginning of 2006.

Yes, Baldo was lineal. He defeated Judah, who defeated Spinks, who had defeated Mayorga.
