We saw JLC whip dat ass. Margarito would have brought next level pressure to Mayweather and stopped him or made him quit (we seen quittage in the Maidana rematch).

Margarito was bigger, taller, had ATG stamina, an iron chin, and some of the best body shots in the game.

It was a very good move by Floyd in ducking him.

Margarito could load up his gloves and a** and still he won't land a single meaningful blow against Mayweather. You have to be a member of the autistic family here(C.J. being a notable one) if you honestly believe Mayweather moved up in weight to fight Oscar De La Hoya in his first fight at Light Middleweight for the WBC title to duck a paper champion like Margarito who had zero notable wins.

Bob Arum knew who to target when he hyped Margarito, he targeted the cabbies(being the majority, obviously) and they continue to bark for him. Mayweather left TOP RANK promotions and that obviously enraged Arum. So he used this glove loading scam to take a shot at Mayweather and attempt to create a star in the process.

It's clear as daylight if you have the brains.

I think it would have been a real stinker. In order to nullify Margarito’s crazy workrate, Floyd would use a lot of movement and timely clinching. Beat Margarito to the punch with his speed and tie him up.

Margarito takes some rounds with workrate and pressure, but not enough, and Floyd wins a boring decision.

Not necessarily. There's a chance Floyd would be on his bike from the first second of the fight but IMO this might have turned out a bit more like Floyd's fights w/Maidana, Cotto and Castillo, all of which fared well vs Floyd.
No reason to believe Margarito might not have done better.

I feel I rate Marg higher than many do... but, Mayweather would have made Marg look stupid.

    Mayweather UD 9 to 3.

People often seem to forget Mayweather and Castillo had an immediate rematch.
And look how easily Mosley tied Margarito up, and how hard it was for Margarito to follow Mosleys movement. Mosley was a lot like Mayweather that night. Lateral movement, jabs to the body and lead left hooks.

So then Why didn't he fight him Kirk?? He had plenty of opportunities. Antonio actually caused his railroading himself. He LEGITIMATELY kicked Cotto;s ass when he wasn't supposed to. Both Floyd & Oscar backed off neither fancied their chances but he was in the way

Margarito had been sick with back trouble & couldn't train he was overweight coming up to the fight & had to sweat it off. He was weak as a kitten. Then he had to face an obviously juiced to the gills Mosely following that debacle with Richardson & his blatant lie about Plaster Blocks
Margarito was beaten before he got in the ring & then they ruined his career
