    Tyson’s best wins were:
    Old Holmes
    Spinks
Rudduck who never won a belt

His era and resume were very weak.

Spinks, Holyfield, Bruno, Ruddock, Thomas, Tubbs, Golota, Lewis, Mathis...

    When was a strong era?

Tony Tubbs gave A young Bowe all he could handle. Tyson crushed him in TWO ROUNDS .
Carl Williams gave an older Holmes a run for his money. Almost won.
Tyson knocked stopped him in under TWO MINUTES.
Berbeick? Was stopped ONCE early in his career. Tyson bounced him off the canvas in TWO ROUNDS. Nobody ever stopped Berbeick again .
Frank Bruno? Mike took him out TWICE- the same Bruno who badly rocked Lennox Lewis .
Larry Holmes- done in FOUR rounds. The same Holmes who took Holyfield the distance and beat an unbeaten Mercer .
Michael Spinks had NEVER lost in the pros.
Tyson DESTROYED him in under TWO MINUTES.
Alex Stewart gave Holyfield a good scrap. Went the distance with Foreman as well.
Tyson took him out in ONE round.

I'm not a Tyson can- but he fought alo t of good boxers and he destroyed them.
Holyfield/Lewis against a prime Tyson lose-simple as that .Tyson at his best was amazing and even know I wasn't a fan i knew I was seeing something I would never see again.

Lol @ elevating everyone tyson beat to insane standards.

    I can do the opposite

Razor ruddock goes 19 rounds with prime mike and gets brutally demolished by lewis 10 months later

    Lewis DESTROYS tyson

A prime Tyson would have knocked Lewis out. Before he got with Don King he was fantastic! I loved to watch him fight, but after Cus died, Kevin Rooney took over, did a great job, then Jimmy Jacobs died, what's when Tyson started to have a nervous problem, Jacobs was a father figure, but then along came Don King, who lied to Tyson, Bill Cayton was an honest man, King made Tyson think Cayton was cheating him.................so Don King took over, quit training, had no corner, lost to Buster Douglas because of it..................Don King destroyed one hell of a fighter, very exciting, skills that were difficult to believe, his timing was perfect, he was very difficult to hit, could jab with much bigger fighters, get inside and destroy them quickly. I was very impressed, like I am impressed with Lomachenko, Tyson was one of a kind. Tyson's style took time, it was a style that took a lot of gym time training, he could not slack off, not for a minute.......................I am still angry with Don King for destroying one of the best heavyweights of all time...........................not to mention he robbed him......................

The best wins of Mike Tyson's HW championship reign (in order):

Prime Iron Mike (up to & including Spinks)

    1. KO1 Michael Spinks (undefeated future Hall of Famer & reigning Lineal Champ) Wins Lineal HW Championship, defends Alphabet Soup HW Championship, becomes universally recognised Undisputed HW Champion

    2. KO4 Larry Holmes (future Hall of Famer) Defends Alphabet Soup HW Championship

    3. KO2 Trevor Berbick (reigning WBC Champ) Wins WBC HW title

    4. KO6 Pinklon Thomas (former WBC Champ) Defends WBC & WBA HW titles

    5. KO7 Tyrell Biggs (undefeated Olympic Super Heavy gold medallist) Defends Alphabet Soup HW Championship

    6. W12 Tony Tucker (undefeated reigning IBF Champ) Unifies Alphabet Soup HW Championship

    7. W12 Bonecrusher Smith (reigning WBA Champ) Partially unifies Alphabet Soup HW Championship

    8. KO2 Tony Tubbs (former WBA Champ) Defends Alphabet Soup HW Championship

    Non-prime Iron Mike (post Spinks)

    9. KO1 Truth Williams (former Lineal HW title challenger) Defends Undisputed HW Championship

    10. KO5 Frank Bruno (future WBC Champ) Defends Undisputed HW Championship

    11. KO3 Frank Bruno (reigning WBC Champ) Wins WBC HW title

    12. KO1 Bruce Seldon (reigning WBA Champ) Wins WBA HW title

Not a bad CV. I think the guy who entered the ring for the first 6 of those fights beats any HW of any era.

this is crazy, mike tyson at 21 had a better resume than any HW champion who followed him aside from lennox and perhaps holy (though he was such a drug freak I dont want to give him credit).

    at 21!

    I didn't elevate anyone.
Tubbs gave Bowe he'll AFTER he got knocked out by Tyson.
holme s beat Mercer AFTER Tyson knocked him out.
Bruno did almost out Lewis down did he not?
Lewis got knocked cold TWICE in his PRIME.
Lewis beat Ruddock and it was a great win .

How was his era and resume very weak?

Tucker, Spinks, Bruno and Holmes etc, would all be top 10 HW's today.

It may not have been great, but to say it was very weak is just silly.

What was the point in making this thread?

It's clear that you don't even want to debate with anyone.

Tucker was a good UD win.

Spinks was a blown up light heavyweight, not even a cruiserweight a light heavyweight. He got 2 politically motivated robberies over holmes, thats his career at heavyweight.

Bruno might be top 10, lower end

Holmes. The version that fought tyson was rusty and overweight he would not be top 10 in that sort of condition.

wtf are you talkin about, the man just gave you a list of facts and you call them insane standards? if any of those facts are wrong, say so, how you interpret the data matters little, if its true, its true.

    I agree with @Farmboxer.
Con King destroyed the dude, and did it with brother talk. I even think he helped Robin Givens & Mom think that way.
I remember when they tried to buy a house and couldn't. I think Robin never knew the deal--those white dudes weren't just his trainers and managers...they were his family, FIRST. Bythe time she learned it..it was too late.

He could have bought 3 houses...but his team would do it for him and not put the $$ directly in his hands, because they knew he would trick his money.

Or as Jamie Foxx comedian once joked..when he hung out with Tyson under King, Mike in the club would say "You like BMWs baby?"
So Mike would a buy a bushel of BMWs LOL!

I posted a vid awhile back of Kevin Roony telling Don King to get out the way after a fight. You could see his demeanor was irked by Con King's presence.

I digress, I agree to an extent that Tyson didn't have a great era, but he did what one is supposed to do with such an era; annihilate them.
    Easily at that.
