I reckon you could be right here,if Lomo has the edge in skil then Garcia’s size evens it up to a genuine 50/50 fight.

For the record I never clamoured for that Rigo fight as I always knew it was a mismatch but I do find it strange how all those that shouted for the fight now claim he was picked on.

 

I've always leaned towards Mikey slightly. It's hard to predict really though because it's almost impossible to tell how the fight would go down.

 

mikey stops him. as good as loma is, he was being run nose to nose vs linares, who is prettier, but doesnt hit harder, as accurate, or as durable as mikey is. mikey hasnt even been made to look vulnerable in a career that spans 4 weight classes and multiple title holders. if you dont think mikey is an A+ fighter, you got a lot to learn about the sport. mikey showed you what a pretend multiple weight champion can do vs a real multiple weight champion, a couple fights ago.

 

And Mikey looked pretty vulnerable vs Lipinets. Mikey looked very basic that night.

 

for such a basic guy, you would think at least one guy good enough to hold a belt at a weight mikey hadnt fought at before, would be able to figure out this checkers style of boxing, that is what youre seeing right? yet they can barely get this basic robot to break a sweat.
what exactly did mikey look vulnerable to in that fight? was it the power of a 140 lber, the speed of lips, the technique? 116-111 was the closest score and nobody had a problem with that.

I can't agree that Mikey looked vulnerable against Lipinets, just because he didn't totally dominate a fight like his others doesn't mean he's vulnerable. Lipinets was game but Mikey outclassed him.

Because people associate flashiness with skill. Mikey is an absolute master boxer, his footwork is so good he's almost never off balance, he always puts himself in the position to defend and counter, he's got amazing timing and accuracy.

 

Sure, he can get caught, but in the meantime, he's styling all over Mikey and taking the wind out of Mikey's sails w/ a brilliant body attack. Mikey's power has been devastating against lil dudes.

 

Also, the way Mikey beat Broner, no one has. Even if Broner is not elite, he is still a 3x weight world champion with some good wins under his belt, even in his losing performances, he's not easy to beat. Mikey made him look like a total bum and pitched a complete 12 round shutout over him.
