Am I going mad or do we hardly get to see Ed Robinson on Sky Sports anymore? He was a massive part of Ringside which obviously is no longer on the tele, and I think he's still doing the toe2toe podcasts, but I've never listened to them as not a big fan of Spencer Fearon. Do they not use him as a pundit for the live shows anymore?
n not seen him in ages, its more that fraser clark who presents the weigh ins and stuff and andy scott does interview etc and the women presents fight nights
i remember seeing a tweet a few months back, not sure from but it suggested he had fallen out with someone important, cant remember the details though.
He's one of us', a boxing fan who just loves the sport and has a job a lot of us would envy. Does he sometimes toe the party line and hype too much? Absolutely, but he's just doing what his bosses want: something we all have to do in our workplace sometimes.
He was a breath of fresh air compared to the utter crap they have now, Smith, Nelson and Froch are all firms men and are awful to listen to, Bellew I actually don't mind at times but again hes another AJCuck. Miss lickle Ed
He's a behind the scenes man and still a key part of the Production Team. I remember he presented Joshua-Breazeale as the Host, but Sky dont want a avid boxing analyst which is what he is, they want someone to appeal to the mass audience and give that party and glamour like touch to their coverage which is why they got that women, Anna Woolhouse for their coverage. Also to avoid any backlash about not enough "women in sport" so Sky had no choice
Ed Robinson’s a good man, a proper fighting man, respectful and knowledgeable. So no wonder Sky don’t use him.
