lol they might be pushed up to 45-55 I knew Oscar was just talking maybe golovkin said 50-50 just raise the bar so he could get a little less but either way Oscar will have to give golovkin more money
Clen is a scam artist. So is DLH. BJS and Charlo have both said GBP have not contacted them about a fight.
It can be. Now the “drama” and the media hype is much bigger, and last time 3 weeks before was the May-McG, everyone spent his money on that.
The deal in place is definitely fair. 50-40 to Canelo and the winner gets the other 10% so if GGG can win the fight like mostly everybody on this board seems to think, then he'll get his 50%.. The fans shouldn't have a problem with this and neither should GGG or anybody in his camp. Make it happen for the sake of boxing.
50-40 with 10% for the winner is a very fair deal, agreed. But has this actually been offered? All I heard is that Fat Dan proposed it ...
This would be acceptable if the fight was anywhere but Vegas with Bob Bennett & his gang of hoodlums. A fair fight is what fans want to see JUST FOR ONCE!!!!
Wow. I'm surprise coming from you. I thought 60-40 is more than fair for both. Unless they want publicity through social media by dragging this on.
You don't need judges to see that GGG got lit up in the first fight. Those uppercuts . . . whoosh, came outta nowhere G was seein stars. It was a fair fight last September, and we saw what happened. The judges don't determine what happens and what you see in the ring.
Which is exactly why they're in no hurry to close the deal. Currently GBP and K2 are squabbling over the last few percent (I believe the final deal will be around 60-40) but they're both quite happy prolonging the negotiations. It's all a show, Canelo's initial refusal of VADA, GGG's 50-50 demand, Oscar hyping the Spike fight - they're all busy trying to squeeze an extra % or two. There's too much risk in Golovkin vs Derevyanchenko or Golovkin vs Charlo to delay the fight further, and Canelo would get roasted if his interim was Spike. Saunders is risky for both. So it suits both GGG and Canelo sides to make the fight next - eventually, after milking as much free publicity as possible while convincing the naive fans that they're being ducked by the other side.
Completely agree. All the young guns are too high risk for low reward. This is what expected in the era of Internet and social media. All you have to do is tweet something and post a video and enjoy free publicity and get people work up. Both camps probably have communicated their bottom line but string the public along with demand and speculation.
What we all saw in Sept was GGG kick Clenelo's ass despite his doping/ You Clenelites wont accept the obvious though
