Oh please, Horn vs Pac was the right outcome. Kovalev - Ward was a close fight that could have gone either way. Should have been a draw imo. Alvarez - Golovkin: I dont know wtf happened with Byrd but the other two judges had good scores. That could have easily been scored a draw(draw being the best outcome for Alvarez). I had Mayweather beating Castillo.
It always has been Dodgy but the Blatant corruption over the past few Years has taken it to a new Level.....I seriously wonder if the Credibility of Boxing will ever recover...Money talks now more than ever and this is the reason we are seeing these unbelievable Shocking decisions.!!!!
The Pac & Floyd era (2007-2014) was the most rigged. Both had so many fixed/staged fights in order to make their overhyped fight in 2015.
The mob openly ran boxing in distant eras. Now it is simply businessmen. They have the same goal, mentality, and will seek the same means, though, so not too much of a difference. Phantom punch, Sonny Liston, Primo Carnera, ref DQ's on the regular where newspapers openly acknowledge mob affiliation, Jake LaMotta, etc. Then again you also have the Top Rank/IBF/Foreman scandal, phantom punches of our own of late, Leon Spinks, etc. I don't know. I still lean slightly toward other eras over the most recent years.
I highly doubt it’s more corrupt now than prior eras like the 1950s when Frankie Carbo & Blinky Palermo were the biggest figures in boxing.

It's been corrupt for as long as I can remember, but a lot of the time the house fighter genuinely wins, so we don't get to see the corruption rear its ugly head as much, or we don't care so much, if it was the right fighter winning. You do see it in lesser fights, but unfortunately it doesn't get the coverage it should. GGG vs Canelo was pretty bad. Holyfield vs Lewis is the worst big fight I've witnessed. I'm sure if Joshua does eventually lose on points it will rear its ugly head again.
Don't forget that Don King rigged The Ring ratings when he came on the scene. Golden Boy's influence is nothing compared to what King did. He created some bulls hit tournament off the rankings he created if I remember correctly. The internet actually helps keep media sources and officials in check because the public can figure out what's going on now.
None of them were bad. The draw with Vargas was correct (Broner blew the win because he gave up the 12th). Ponce could've gone either way. I think I had Broner by a point or something. He won everything else clearly other than his L's.

Be real here, back in the day when the mob controlled boxing it must have been the worst. But since I started watching boxing as a little kid, robberies hsve been rife. Back in the day the US and Italy seemed to be the worst of the bunch, later rivaled by Germany and then the UK with Italy fading away. It was also clear to me that when I was watching "classic fights" the home/popular fighter almost always won against majority scoring, and that it started way before my time. Today it's more in your face due to the media era, and everyone can see what happened. Home robberies can't be burried under national bias anymore because the whole world can see it. The "it was close but my countryman nicked it" excuse won't hold up anymore. And nowadays those ratings are there for all to see, and different orgs are always clear to which country(ies), promoter(s) they fancy more.
I would say boxing is rigged about as much as it can get right now! Kovalev beat SOB, then in the second fight SOB landed very low blows as proven on video and still pictures, but Tony Weeks appeared to have been in on it, clear cheating..................El Pollo/Golovkin, Golovkin beat El Pollo as almost veryone saw, except El Pollo's mother hen....................
