Why don't you just pick the best version of each fighter. I'm a big fan of Vitali's. This would have been a very intriguing match up. Mike's speed would have caused Vitali a lot of trouble, but Vitali had the size, skills, power, chin and the mental strength. It's a tough one. I may have to lean towards Vitali.
Vitali. His size combined with control of distance and accuracy would be problematic. Countering Vits is difficult because he rarely lets it all hang out. I wouldn't write Tyson off, but if I had to bet it would be on Klitschko.
James Tillis didn't get blown out Mitch Green didn't get blown out Jose Ribalta didn't get blown out James Smith didn't get blown out Yet Vitali Klitschko 6'7" 247lb Iron chin never been off his feet or even visably hurt including everything flush off Lennox (harder puncher than tyson btw) is going to?
Watch the fights and see that both fights were dominated by him and both fights were stopped due to injury.
Ruddock was not prime Tyson. Prime Tyson ended with the Spinks fight. In the Tillis fight Mike was practicing going a full fight. Ribalta was stopped. Tillis, James Bonecrusher Smith and Mitch Blood Green would have also beaten Quitali.
hard to gauge exactly when Vits was prime, maybe as early as the Hide fight. The four year lay off would have been his prime if he'd not done in the shoulder and knee - which was prior to td6. Anyway I go with Vitali all day long.
Tony Tucker was as good , if not better than Vitali , so obviously Tyson. Its like saying Jorge Louis Gonzalez would beat Mike , because he is exactly the same fighter Vitali is. Actually Jorge edges Vitali skill wise since he has a good amateur pedigree whereas Vitalis foundations as a fighter come from a kickboxing backround. Plus Vitali is all straight punching , no angles and no defense. He's made to order for Tyson. Complete blow out. 9 rounds tops!!
