You can almost count the number of times a p4per over 35 beat a younger p4per 30 or younger on one hand. In living memory it's just Hopkins vs Trinidad, Mayweather vs Canelo and both of those fellows might have had some extra help from a few supplements to turn back father time.

Ray Robinson has 2 victories like that over Gene Fullmer and Carmen Basilio when he was 36 and 37. By 39 the best he could do was hold Fullmer to a draw. Archie Moore beat Harold Johnson when he was 37 and Johnson was 27. Dick Tiger beat Nino Benvenuti when he was 39 and Nino was 29. Mayweather and Hopkins were both 36, 5 of the 6 times this has happened in history the guy was no older than 37. Pac is 40 and there are no examples of anyone 40 years old beating p4p fighters.
