He'll never man up and realise he got fired from calling ringside fights because of his unprofessionalism. Who the hell wants to hear a commentator scream 'THIS IS GARBAGE. HE WON FOR TRYING HARD. THIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH BOXING. THIS IS DISGUSTING. BOXING HAS TURNED INTO A JOKE.' For 20 straight minutes. And then only a couple months later on the Jose Ramirez card, He argued with his co-analyst Mark Kriegel and questioned his credentials, just because Kriegel was trying to stay neutral and call a good fight. He's terrible for the boxing world. This clown needs to realise the job of a commentator is to call the fight for fans listening at home, keep them engaged and provide unbiased boxing knowledge about both fighters in the ring. You're not there to spurt your opinion like you're at the bar with your drunk friends. When his contract is up and he's taken off espn all together, it will be a good day for the world of boxing.
I love Teddy, think he's a top analyst and respect his opinion on the sweet science. That being said, he clearly has a blind spot when it comes to The Horn. The slickness is real. The Horn is essentially a more rugged B-Hop, and much like The Alien, his slickness is beyond the comprehension of the average Human. I know it, you know it, and in his deep subconscious, I suspect Teddy knows it.
Atlas' demotion doesn't stem just from the Horn fight. His "boxing is corrupt" antics have been overbearing for some time now and ESPN knows Atlas harps on it way to much and its getting quite old for the viewers. Instead of doing his job and dissecting the x's and o's of what had just occured, Atlas had gone bonkers over two close very competitive decisions that didn't go the way he saw them and just harped on the fact it was outrageous the entire time he was on the air. He did that for both Canelo-Golovkin and Pacquiao-Horn. Atlas' "I want to fix whats wrong with boxing" screaming act has become to overbearing that he no longer functions properly as a boxing analyst.
