Can't blame GGG. He was first robbed then cheated by Canelo. We all know he won, he is the better boxer and that Canelo made a fool of himself with these fail tests and poor excuse. GGG should move on and fight for all bells, maybe two or three other fights, then he can retire and enjoy his money.

Tom Loeffler on Canelo v Jacobs: “All I can say is that those two guys are guys GGG already beat last year.”

And that retirement will never show a win over Canelo no matter how many times you try and tell yourself otherwise.

I trust my own judgement and would rather believe what I saw than being a Boxrec warrior. Did you need the revenge to realize that Lewis beat Holyfield the first time around ?

Lewis needed the second fight himself. He knew he won the first fight but there was an opportunity to fight again and get the win officially.

GGG v Canelo was very close. GGG not taking the second fight to leave no doubt his the superior fighter is pathetic

50-50 is indeed an unrealistic demand, but GGG was under no compulsion to fight Canelo next. He'd already given Canelo two chances to take the belts of him.

Where GGG will rightly be judged is in who he chooses instead of Canelo. If he doesn't choose Saunders, Charlo or Derevyanchenko, then yeah he's ducking strong opposition. But if he's willing to take short money to try to unify the division or keep his belts, I don't see the problem, doubtless if he won the Canelo rematch happens in 2019.

Canelo's refusal of 50-50 is a similar situation. He gets more with 50% vs GGG than what he'll get against Jacobs or Spike, and he also gets the chance to establish himself as the #1 MW with three belts. However Canelo simply doesn't want to give GGG parity when he is the one bringing more money in, to be fair it could also be a bad precedent for future negotiations were he to budge all the way to 50-50.

GGG is a ****ing idiot he won't get close to that kind of money ever again. 60/40 is more than fair.

In case you forgot, GGG took the second fight for a 35% split on Canelo's hometurf and Golden Boy's terms (which includes a bunch of corrupt judges). Canelo was then caught on PEDs which is hardly something one can brag about.

Basically GGG is really unhappy with Canelo and is willing to hurt himself quite a bit financially to muck up Canelo's plans.

It looks like I was wrong, I thought GGG was just after the money but it appears that he's personally angry about the whole affair.

I don't see where that can be a smart move where Golovkin is getting older and Canelo is getting better.

And now he wants new terms and got more money yet still won't take the fight. This isn't about drugs,, this is about GGG making unrealistic demands.

Of course Golovkin will price himself out. He knows he can make money fighting hopeless bums and his idiotic fans will support him, so why take any risk?.

Thing is GGG is the undefeated middleweight #1 in the world. He holds 3 belts, never ducked anybody and was robbed of a big payday and a huge event because Canelo was tested positive. At this point of his career, GGG can do whatever he wants to and I'll be glad to see him fight Saunders, Charlo or Derevyanchanko instead of someone he clearly beat in my book. I don't give the slightest **** about him earning 5 or 20 million as it won't actually raise my own salary.
