Dont think that Whyte is top 10 fighter but Parker is pretty overrated also and is hardly top 5 as well.

Parker lacks power and is very predictable in his attacks since he stepped up and fought half decent opposition.

I hope that Parker will win but he fights way too predictable lately and will need to get a decision in the UK then.Dont want to see Joshua vs Whyte #2 or Joshua vs Parker again in 2019 thats for sure tho.

Yet Whyte got a gift from a way past prime chisora......

Whyte is British level, Parker whilst not elite is still better, it just proves how shallow and weak the division is.

    How did Whyte do again?

Whyte wasn't able to destroy David Allen and shot to **** Helenius to be honest. Can't see him destroying Andy Ruiz

    Risk of what ?

He doesn't get Wilder anyway win or lose.

Parker is by far more money drawer then Ortiz bc he fights over there and he just fought Joshua....

It's a no brainer why he chose Parker , ARGUABLY an easier fight , he gets payed more, he would get less credit for an Ortiz win bc he's coming off a K.O loss and the excuses would fly anyway you look at it.

    On the match itself....

Whyte should be the favorite to win by 3 to 1 or 2 to 1 but Parker will most likely be odds on favorite on the books.

If Parker wins he is next up for Femi after Povetkin or Windy if he ever accepts a deal? Doesn't quite make sense to me that Parker would get another crack so soon after that snoozer in March.

You can define hype in different ways. Fury is no hype job. Fury is easily the best HW out there after coming back. He will beat everyone out there. No hype. If you take a look at several Top 10 HW threads and so on you can see a lot of guys really thinking Whyte is a Top 5/7 HW. Hearn is saying Whyte vs Parker is the best profile fight after Wilder/AJ. This is definitely some sort of hype. Everyone is thinking WHyte is a real contender in the division after beating a shot Lucas Browne. Whyte would be easily defeated by nearly everyone in the Top 10.

If you view everyone in the HW division as crap, every HW will only have wins against cans.

We need someone from CW to step up and save us!

Agree completely, Parker savagely KO's Whyte, Whyte-Browne style.... that being said, Dubois is the biggest hypejob at HW.:deal:

How can Fury be the best HW atm when he hasn't fought for over 2 yrs and was clearly not in shape during that time? That is unrealistic hype.

It's Hearn's job to hype up fights and fighters but I don't see anybody else hyping Whyte. Saying he's top 7 at HW is arguably true. I wouldn't call that hype. The points you make about Fury being the best right now, is more hype than I've ever seen Whyte get.

Fury is undefeated, beat and toyed with Wlad and won comfortably, took all his belts. It's no hype job at all. We all know that Fury will beat anybody out there. It's simply the truth. Of course Fury hasn't fought two and a half yeaars and he looked fat and out of shape during the period but still he is the best HW out there after coming back and winning his first two or three comeback fights. He has to prove that ofc if he fights Wilder/AJ or who has the belts then but still he showed what he is able to do. If he comes back and will fight then he is without a doubt the legit #1 HW.

Hyping Whyte up like he is a real contender in the division is a bit too much because there is no background where you can argue with. His resume? No. His skills? No. A big win? No.

    Based on what exactly?

Ruiz has a better gas tank, better chin, better footwork, better hand speed?
The only thing that Whyte may have on Ruiz is his one punch power.

It's 50-50 at the bookies, some with a very slight edge to Parker, others dead even.

Some dreadful posts on this thread, not least the OP.All I would say is massive credit too both for taking the fight.Would have been easy too sit around like so many others and wait for another title shot.I think it's a fairly even and intriguing fight and the losers career takes a big hit.good on them both.
