GGG popularity represents the decline in boxing in USA
GGG known by every boxing fan
Very little known outside our circles

Well I think GGG is a huge fight again, and I favor him to win. I think they should have paid him what he is worth, just to make the fight. at 45 I think the fight might be made now. I was sort of hoping it would not happen, so we can move on from this testing stuff.

Its difficult to sell a fighter when he doesn't fight the very best or doesn't take challenges.

Throughout history the most popular boxers have always been those who sought the biggest challenges, GGG is not an exception to this.

Russians generally don’t sell in the US.

He doubled GGG’s average numbers. Maybe he should ask for 66-33.

This statement is not entirely true. You can’t just build a superstar out of nowhere which is what they attempted with triple. You have to groom the public first.

Plus as isal has pointed out, this guy doesn’t really challenge himself. The only tried and true method of becoming a super star is setting out and conquering the best. Golovkin has been a formulaic marketing scheme at best. People read what’s being sold but then view it with their own eyes and realize there’s plenty of inconsistencies. Things don’t add up.

The casual fan has also become more educated due to Mayweather-Pacquiao. They’re not going to fall for simple gimmicks and agenda so easily anymore to the point where they deem it necessary to dig into their pocket.

Especially for a product that’s not proven.

Well they have already fought GGG vs Canelo.. 1.3 million compared to 300k for smith it shows that Canelo needs a big named dance partner just like GGG does to pull gastro comical numbers.

To the contrary, a winner take all scenario would have more hands in it to see that a particular fighter takes home all the loot.
There's more reason for corruption when all the money is on the line to fall in one piggy bank.

He pulled one million with Chavez though. Most Americans watching that fight had never even seen Smith, myself included.

That's because Chavez was a big name thanks to his daddy.
And that is the point I made a big name to fight against makes a big difference
What do you think spike is going to do in numbers.

    70/30 is a fair offer.

After ODLH's "guaranteed knockout" statements when promoting the first GGG-Canelo fight, i tend to take every big announcement or news of negotiations from GBP with a grain of salt. Sure I'd love to see Jacobs Canelo but do i believe it's actually going to happen? Not anytime soon,if ever lol
