You asked who the opponent is going to to be, it’s been discussed quite heavily on the last few pages who it’s strongly rumoured which is why I mentioned it, nothing more or less then that.

And by the way I’m not welsh

 

Warren made offers before that eliminator crap. Look at how it’s turned out to see how stupid an idea it was - Let’s say Burton had fought Yarde and won, he still wouldn’t have fought his stablemate Johnson who as we know smashed Buglioni.

Buglioni as per the rules could have asked for Johnson to wait if he wanted to fight Yarde - let’s not forget Johnson hadnt fought in about 12 months when that fight was first ordered and really wasn’t in a strong position. And let’s not forget, Buglioni also refused Burton when Johnson pulled out the first time - the whole scenario was a joke and Yarde was right to steer clear.

 

Two weeks to fight night and "lion in the camp" hasn't even got an opponent! Isn't he now headlining?

It's not just that this dickhead won't fight anyone with a pulse It's also that he won't fight anyone on more than 3 weeks notice, if it's not his fault he should go earn with Hearn his career has gone nowhere in the last year.

 

If Warren announces the opponent is Darius Sek on Monday then that’s fine as this was the original fight in April and the one widely speculated on here and other sites sometime ago.

For some bizarre reason, Warren often announces opponents late even though they have been signed up weeks/months before - I wish Ifl or whoever would ask him why. It’s not like it’s going to make a difference to ticket sales.

Anyway, anybody other than sek gets announced and the opponent confirms he hasn’t known about the fight for a while then Warren and Yarde deserves all the criticism in the world.

 

Deserve critism anyway if that is the opponent , he's a eurobum with a padded record who has been beaten by other eurobums , Yarde has been out of the ring a while and had ample recovery time and time for a full camp if this is the best they can come up with it's a disgrace

 

Respect your opinion, but I think the level of the opponent is ok at this stage especially when you compare him to the guys that Burton, Buatsi and Johnson etc have been facing. I would like to see a step forward for the next opponent though - Scissors did a good post a page or so earlier about reasonable names that we should expect to see next. Anything below those, then it’s open season on Warren and Yarde

Still don't understand the hate on here. I think he'll have too much power for Buatsi and Buglioni but Johnson would be a tougher fight from a Yarde perspective imo.
