But Louis had a few pounds on him and still could clout when he wanted to and Ezz ended up with an eye closed after this one even though he would counter him 3 to 1.

 

A load of the modern obese heavyweights, mostly because they are too lazy to be aggressive or defend properly.

 

Charles usually had a great defense.

Charles was a highly skilled fighter with a great offense, but he was hit a lot on film. Even in his prime. He liked to counter but he also loved to brawl

Just rewatched Marquez-Diaz and I was shocked by how often Diaz was tagging him with hard hooks to the face in the early rounds.
