Povetkin is the 2nd best fighter at heavyweight right now. Wilder is afraid to death of him..................he is the problem though, Joshua's personal referee will not allow Povetkin to get inside, all three judges have already filled out their cards, so Joshua will not need to take any chances as it's impossible for him to lose a decision, the boxing commission will allow as much cheating as can be in boxing. So, everything will be in Joshua's favor, but in a neutral territory Povetkin would be dangerous fight..............we all saw how fast Wilder ran from Povetkin, the WBC protecting Wilder at all costs, even after VADA cleared Povetkin, and even after Povetkin was found innocent in court, still the WBC would not allow Povetkin near Wilder, ever after winning the purse bid....................Wilder has Haymon Boxing insurance!

Prime Povetkin would be very very dangerous for AJ, but now... I don't think so.

Blueprint is out to beat Povetkin but i doubt AJ will need to do that. AJ will do his basic combo and finish the deal whilst Povetkin is on the ropes around the middle rounds.

The real number 1 and 2 in heavyweight boxing. Fury is clearly not ready yet, and Wilder is a fraud who invented bullstit to avoid fighting Povetkin. So as far as I am concerend, this is the title.

POST SCRIPT: Doesn't it seem like Povetkin has been 38 for five years now?

This is a huge mismatch but a necessary fight and it will put away this false narrative that Joshua struggled with shorter guys.

Povetkin is custom made for him and it won't see mid rounds if Joshua doesn't want it too.

After Povetkin loses i will probably drop him down a notch , I think he'll be outside of top 5 as others are coming up.....

Ortiz i think is still a top 5 guy until proven otherwise but he's pretty much in the same boat as Povetkin.

Anthony Joshua could not even drop a 5 foot 11 bum named Denis Bakhtov in 2 rounds, despite landing flush punches after flush punches continuously. Instead needed a premature standing stoppage by the referee.

This same Denis Bakhtov was dropped thrice by a much smaller 6 foot 0, Evgeny Romanov in only the first round.

Just to keep things in perspective!

    There's nothing perspective about that!

Boxing isn't a i knocked out someone faster than you game , certainly not a round difference!

He is fighting Wilder in Nov.

How would he fight Wilder next when Finkel said they won't fight until fall anyway?

Yes, there is. It proves Joshua isn't as good as you think he is. Otherwise, a total midget / blown up light heavyweight like Evgeny Romanov wouldn't display greater power and damage inflicting ability than the much bigger 6 foot 6, 240+ pound Anthony Joshua.

What would it tell you if a 5 year old child knocked out an adult man, yet his 30 year old father couldn't KO that same man? Common sense would dictate that this 30 year old father is comically weak.

That fight gives us a gauge on how good Anthony Joshua is.

Joshua didn't knock Bakhtov out. He stopped him prematurely on his feet. Couldn't even drop him once. Meaning, Joshua sucks. So it's not just a one round difference because Joshua couldn't even drop that guy in the second round after landing everything but the kitchen sink.
