You sound like the type of guy who fell for the Haye v Bellew acting and bought the PPV based on David Haye fighting 2 cans while wearing a giant nappy.

Fury is finished mate and only back for a final PPV against Bellew or Haye

Not entirely sure what people were expecting. He put on a tremendous amount of weight and hasn't fought for over two and a half years. He needs a few more fights and time to trim down to around 18 stone (perhaps less) to improve again, long way to go just yet.

That will never happen training in Fatty Hatton's gym where trays of cream cakes are delivered by the hour.

Big respect to @Scissors who’s opinion I always respect. I wasn’t personally looking too much into the fight last night. I think it was just about showing your face in work after being on the sick for ages and just reacquainting himself with his surroundings. It was a no risk, bit of fun exhibition. He was clearly still overweight, his feet were slower and he took a couple of shots he would have normally dodged. He did do some nice work in the fourth with some punishing shots. He did show a few flashes of the old stuff.

I think he should knock the lineal thing on the head, I agree with that. If this is like a fresh start, bin off the old stuff it means sod all anyway. He looks happy though, and he will get better. 3 out of the last 4 fighters have quit... Tyson ‘no mas’ Fury. Great to have him back.

As I said, I think I’d be a lot more lenient if he weren’t calling out people who would clearly beat him right now (key words) and also if they didn’t bill it up to be something it weren’t. Looking back and saying it was an exhibition is all well and good but people (who I know) spent £300 to go and see that. It wasn’t billed as an exhibition, it was billed as the main man was back so it was a bit of an injustice.

If you read my posts from November/December/January/February I said that Tyson needs to get 5/6 fights under his belt, every 2 months and just stay in a constant camp to get fit. Giving him all this attention and spotlight of the main event isn’t good for him, it’s going to make him self destruct again IMO.

Essential reasons why I believe Fury is finished

    - 3 years out totally and utterly destroying his body and mind through hard drugs, alcohol and junk food

    - Replacing Peter Fury with Ricky Hatton and some obscure inexperienced young trainer out for self promotion in Ben Davison (remember shane mcguigan and David Haye) who will all indulge fury rather than knowing how to tell him his best course of action, not just outside the ring, but tactically in the ring.

    - The competition in Wilder, Joshua, Whyte are gaining more and more experience and getting better and better staying active and in peak condition in between fights

    - No more Nandrolone

    - His legs have gone

    - Looks like Eggman from Sonic.

Is that a collection of knees I sense jerking?

I'm not quite sure what people expected to see in this fight. Of course he wasn't going to look any good, especially not against this dude. His hands didn't look slow but his looked a much less fluid mover - but he still has weight to lose. Let's remember we didn't even expect him to get as far as actually arriving in the ring.

He will eventually need a proper trainer though. Peter was perfect for him. Davidson has done well to get hi min shape but I don't see him as tactically astute.

I dont think it was billed as a main event it was a co-main with Flanagan v Hooker which turned out to be competitive and a good watch. Anyone who payed £300 to see Tyson Fury and expected him to be in a competitive scrap were sadly mistaken i'm afraid. The opponent was not announced until 2 weeks before the fight and we all knew he was trash. Frank said that Tyson will have three soft warm up fights and this was the first of the three.

IMO overall it was one of Franks better cards, I enjoyed seeing Gorman display his skills, Metcalf v Nieto who turned out to be a tougher than expected opponent with a TKO finish and Heffron v Robinson was a good effort from Robinson with a bit of reffing controversy. Overall it was one of Franks better cards this year.

I think if anything Tyson probably felt embarrassed himself and that was what the showboating was about trying to give a bit of entertainment.

When did Fury ever look anything other than awkward?

The Klitschko that fought AJ on the back of 18 months inactivity, at 41 years old would stop Fury, but the younger, active Klitschko didn’t? How does that work?
