I think Foreman's size, chin and activity might be too much for Dempsey. If Dempsey could fight as a clever counterpuncher and let Foreman blow himself out, I think he could really pour on the hurt later on. But, of course, that's not really how JD fought. I'm just saying he's got the tools and footspeed to employ such a strategy.
Foreman stops dempsey but so what? Jack was a monster for his size. I can see dempsey giving holyfield a hell
Banned 5 times by the same moderator when you reported my comments for.you... And He is not everybody... And i did not report your comments like a pusshy Great difference .However everybody on this forum knows that you are nothing but a biased clown
I have been here since 2010 so i am hardly a "novice". But you could have been here since 2000 still you would be the same joke , just a veteran troll. Funny that you mention my grammar when you get frustrated without any argument. I can write in your idiom and make you look an idiot.. However you can't say a single coherent phrase in my idiom
Haha poor inocent guy... The real veteran and respectable posters knows perfectly that i did join in 2010 the first time. Combatesdeboxeo_ is my name now. Tje first time it was combatesdeboxeo
Nice try!! You reported every comment from me with the hope i got banned because i did put your ass in his deserved place. When i did insult anyone i was insulted first by the other person. There are posters that i never ever got any problem with.my problems is that i can't keep the calm with stupid people like you
Interesting point how Dempsey’s potential game plan. Did he have the ring IQ, cleverness to pull that out? Ali had that type of intelligence, but did Dempsey? Against Firpo, Dempsey just went for the kill. Almost cost him. If he employed that same strategy vs foreman, he gets spanked
I think Dempsey definitely had the intelligence to do so. What I don't think he could do is restrain himself from engaging in a punch-up. There are some guys that just can't help themselves. I'm thinking Holyfield. Marciano. I remember Volbrecht begging Sanders not to slug it out with Rahman but to box him instead. And Dempsey vs Firpo. I could be wrong. But Dempsey would have to act against his natural instincts to implement a smart game plan like that.
Dempsey certainly implemented a smart game plan against Willard. Willard was expecting him to come rushing in, and had no plan B when he didn't.
Willard had no plan in general. He was old, out of shape, and didn’t train. He was hoping he could just overwhelm Dempsey with his size and strength and maul him.
Willard did have a plan, and he was good enough to disclose it. He said "when he comes rushing in, I will hit him with a straight right, then follow up with an uppercut, and then it will be all over." Willard was not hoping for anything, he was sure that he was going to have an easy night. He was ridiculously overconfident!
