I love this fight. Mikey is in deep in this one. He will be tested. Easter can throw those hands and he's tough as nails and is conditioned to the max. This will not be an easy fight for Mikey by any stretch of the imagination. I expect a barn burner and I know Easter is going to bring it as he knows what a win over Mikey will do for his career. Good thing is that the fight is less than two months away.
I think Bob Fitzsimmons said it best, "the bigger they are, the harder they fall." Mikey destroys Easter, KOs him early.
Easter gives up his height so I don’t think the height difference will matter. Mikey is just to fundamentally sound for Easter.
If Mikey even tries to destroy Easter early, he may get KTFO himself. Fortuna, Shafikov and Commey have one thing in common, they're kamikaze's with great chins, they're willing to take 4 to land one. Mikey is conservative as hell, and risk adverse as it gets, which will not serve him well in this fight, because that'll allow Easter to find the proper distance. If Lipinets can snag 4 maybe 5 rounds off of Mikey, Easter can snag that many, and then some.
Guess it depends on how Mikey power looks at the weight,lower down his power looked scary but against Broner it didn’t look the same. Still I’d pick Mikey Garcia.
Height and reach don't mean anything. Easter's height won't save him from getting outboxed. Pedraza had both a height and reach advantage and got demolished by Tank.
