Jarrett Hurd vs Jermell Charlo

That is the match up of the division as far as i can see and i really dont know which way it goes. Hurd seems to be a big hard ****er at the weight but he is damn easy to hit and Charlo throws a hell of alot of accurate leather. Id make sure not to miss it if it happened.

 

Charlo throws 40 punches per round, that is shot picking.
His work rate is below average.

How much pop will have after throwing 60/70/80 punches per round for multiple rounds?
What about when a massive guy, far bigger than him, is still walking his ass down?

Hurd is a fit tough guy, lets see what this Charlotte sister has. Lets see if he keeps running his mouth in the post fight????

 

I thought it was 50-50 but after last night I'm fairly convinced Hurd wins this.

 

Charlo will probably send Hurd to the hospital with brain damage and that's a real possibility.

 

I really think Hurd has a good chance to upset Jermell.

 

It would be open season on Hurd, it is a stylistic dream for Charlo.

Kinda' leaning this way atm, but Charlo should probably be favored. Hurd looks to me a bit like a Margarito sans bricks.

Charlo can outbox Hurd. Charlo is a big guy and we haven't seen a version of Hurd in which he can't impose his size on others. That will be a new scenery. So we can't really be sure about the outcome of the fight.

You a god damn fool if you think Hurd stands a chance at beating Charlo with his current defensive skill set. Have you the bridge of homeboy's nose? you haven't because it doesn't exist. dude gets hit way to much and will likely be punch drink by the time he's 35 at this rate. I think it's the only way he can fight or else he would have used more movement against Lara

 

All 6 ft 4 inches of Guillermo Jones might disagree with your assertion that Hurd is the biggest man to have fought at 154.

 

According to Hurd, he has chosen to walk down his last few opponents. He acknowledged that a lot of people underestimate his boxing skill and defensive abilities. However, he pointed out that he fought in the style of defensively responsible boxer/puncher against Galarza.

Hurd’s a HUGE dude. If Charlo, fresh off the hype of his highlight reel KO of Lubin, remains enamored with his power and insists on fighting wide-legged against Hurd, he will catch a beat down. I just don’t see the Charlo Twins as these unbeatables that others claim they are.
