I can already see it coming.

2 weeks out povetkin fails once again and some bum has to step in last minute

Only 19.99 on sky box office with an amazing undercard featuring katie taylor and eggington

Fighters usually get tested equally. Joshua's side might keep it out of the contract. Also, he just fought in the UK against Price. I imagine whatever testing happened for that fight is what will go down with Joshua and Povetkin didn't pop for that one.

Joshua is not afraid of Povetkin like Wilder was.

So they will not need to have some corrupt people fake a positive test result

Odds on Povetkin landing a single meaningful punch if he's clean?

You don't think he'll land a single decent shot? He's an excellent boxer and Joshua's not impossible to hit so although I'll take AJ to win I'd say Povetkin's every chance of having his moments.

If this Povetkin fight happens instead of Wilder it is because Hearn must know that Povetkin has slipped a good amount. Just like Hearn knew how badly broken Haye was. You hear things when you are that involved in the sport. On the outside, It’s still a very good fight but shy of being excellent if Povetkin was a couple of years younger.

Is there a replacement fighter, for the bodybuilder? David Price maybe?

Only way Povetkin is clean going in to this fight is if he's 100% cashing out. I expect him to cheat again but I'd think at this point he's better at beating the tests. He's had plenty of practice after all.

I get that every AJ fight will be PPV going forward, but this version of Povetkin is a terrible mismatch and knowing Katie Taylor and Barry Hearn's gay fantasy will also be given mismatches on the card doesn't make me feel any better about it.

Utterly shocking to see Hearn's fanboys say Wilder hasn't got a shot at beating AJ, but they're excited about a Povetkin fight. The guy was in serious trouble vs David Price. I'd rather see The Mack fight Seferi's older shorter brother.

Doesn't matter. AJ would be smart enough to fight Povetkin even if he had traces of meldonium. AJ would simply walk into the ring, pick up his $30 million and knock the living daylights out of Povetkin like a true alpha.

Wilder *RAN* and lost the biggest purse of his career and kept crying about it like an entitled child.

I hope he's smart enough to stay clean in the prep for Joshua, it's his only chance of a good payday left before he retires. But obviously it wouldn't shock anyone if he was caught doping again.
