Had this conversation with a couple of friends during the Crawford/Horn bout. Welter is pretty deep right now and Horn obviously only had a title due to a horrible decision against a faded Pacquiao.

That said, he can likely make a little more money fighting back in Australia and maybe as an undercard fighter in the US or Europe. His come forward style is casual friendly.

But, he needs to be matched well to avoid another L.

So, who is the best welterweight you would currently favor Horn to beat?

Just looking at the boxrec top ten...

Broner, Vargas, Peterson, Abdukakhorov are all beatable for him.

Porter, Garcia, Pacquiao and Spence would all be wars imo.

Crawfords style was just all wrong for him as would Thurmans.

I feel he`d beat Amir Khan, he`d knock him out, Khan can`t take a solid welter shot and this guy will draw him into a brawl, no way can Khan keep Horn off like Crawford and Khan won`t be able to clinch like he did vs other shorter armed opponents that he beat because Horn`s much stronger than him and would bully him the way he bullied Pac, could you imagine Khan coming back after the trouble Horn was in during the ninth round v Pac and no way could Khan take the beating Horn was taking at the end of the Crawford stoppage. I think he`d also stand a good chance against Brook also, only he doesn`t use the jab and the jab is Brook`s main weakness.

Spence would beat him far worse than Porter, Garcia or Pac, different level.

I'd say Crawford and Spence both beat him comfortably.

Porter and Garcia would likely beat him but he would be competitive and has a chance of pulling of an upset. Similarly with a Pacqiaio rematch and v Matthysse.

I think he beats Broner, Khan, Vargas, Peterson, Figueroa, Rios etc.

Benevidez, I can't figure out how good he is or isn't.

The top 4 would all make solid supporting bouts, maybe headline a PBC card with Broner.

I'd bet heavily against Horn against Porter, Garcia, and Spence. But the first two could be entertaining.

I think a fight pitting him against a prime Baldomir would be pretty good. Horn has quicker feet and more athleticism but Baldomir managed to walk down Judah and Gatti.

Edit: Spinks would be good too.

Pacquiao would take care of business properly in a rematch.

You should really think before speaking.
No one that's even 1/100000000000th % sane could ever find enough moronic trolling to ever give horn any shot to be competitive with brook, who i fully believe beats every single ww not named Spence.

Horn could beat guys like Samuel Vargas, but would lose to Amir Khan/Jessie Vargas/ Broner level fighters.
He would get easily stopped by Danny Garcia/Shawn Porter/Spence/Thurman.

    Pac of course, for sure.
    Pick em with porter, Garcia.

Thinking further, only Spence, Thurman and Crawford would be clearly mismatching . He's not as bad as Crawford made him look.
    Solid B fighter

Spence, Crawford, Kavaliauskas - no chance.

Thurman, D Garcia, Porter - before last weekend I thought he was around the same level of this overrated trio, but nah they'd all beat him.

Lerajarra prob KO's him, not seen Abdukakhorov yet.

so I'd say Jessie Vargas and Lamont Peterson. He beats those 2 bums.

He's not the type of fighter I pick in fights. I just don't see the skills. He could potentially cause people trouble with his awkwardness and it wouldn't surprise me but I wouldn't bank on it, at the same time I can see even someone like Jesse Vargas outboxing him.
