Didnt expect him to morph into AJ, just expected him to come back and destroy this 5ft11 no name and make a statement. I mean come on, with the whole 'hes back' promotion and all the talk Fury has been saying i seriously thought he would smash Seferi in a round or 2.
He didn't look good against Klitschko all those years ago, just big and awkward so Klit couldn't reach him with the jab
It’s clearly a very divisive subject with people whose opinions I really respect, on both sides of it. My opinion is that Fury has come back from the brink of suicide, and having been 7-8 stone overweight. The very fact he fought on Saturday night (albeit a farcical affair) was just incredible. I would like him to go back to Peter Fury or to Ingle but he credits Ben Davison with salvaging his career. Quite simply, there would be no Fury return if it wasn’t for Davison. So he deserves to continue. Currently, every heavyweight in that top 20 sparks him out, so he needs to get his act together now and really take it seriously.
I really dont think it was that bad. I dont think Fury was really trying but was able to evade punches and beat a fighter who had gone the distance with Charr and only had one defeat. Other than Fury having less fights and it not being a title fight. How different do you think Furys fight with Seferi was compared to Wilders fight with Molina? Remember this was only Furys 26th fight and that was Wilders 34th fight and considering one was a world title fight Seferi was 23-1 (21KOs) Molina was 23-2 (17KOs) respect most peoples posts but still think Fury is difficult to beat due to his awkward effectiveness
Jaysus, some overreaction on here. The irony is that Fury clearly carried Seferi to give fans their money worth, and now he's being lambasted for not blasting him out in a round. Would've got more stick if he blasted him out in a round, but that's Tyson Fury, the most criticised fighter of all time. The spectacle was ruined by Seferi's corner, who pulled their man out as soon as Tyson started throwing and landing. 8 stone shed and almost three years out of the ring, give the man a break. I'm happy he's going to have a few soft fights, because it would be crazy to rush the comeback. We know he didn't look great, but he was never going to in the first fight back. He was beginning to look good, and Seferi's corner ended it. Same old story for Tyson. Instead of being praised for shedding eight stone and coming back to win after such a long layoff, people would rather criticise him. His physique never looked ripped, even when he was schooling ATG Wlad Klitschko. Ben Davison may prove to be too inexperienced for world level boxing, but we can't criticise him as of yet. He's got Tyson happy and back down close to his elite fighting weight. A job well done so far.

ive only just seen how that has all panned out. it was obvious that something serious was amiss when lucas was in the ring making plodder whyte look half decent. utterly shameless from hatton, which comes as no surprise, although i would class him as someone who needs help himself not licensing.
Really records on their own are meaningless. That Swiss bloke Haye beat on his comeback was undefeated but was one of the worst HWs I've ever seen. But do agree that even a sub par Fury is very awkward.
I've been wondering the last few days if Fury has any real intention to get back to 'the top'. Maybe the end game is just the Joshua cash out. The easiest way to the £20mil pay day he can contrive. Reminds me a bit of a few premier league clubs over the years. Happy to aim for top 4 because of the money it guarantees, but no sincere desire to win the league because of the sheer amount of cash/commitment it would require. Of course when the Joshua fight is made I'm sure Fury will put the effort in. But I'm starting to think the fights building up to it will be 3 more Sefer Seferis along with lots of jokes and horseplay with his pal Ben. In other words completely insufficient.
I think it's quite obvious Tyson carried him to get rounds under his belt and extend the fight a bit. We see that all the time.
