Does it make sense to anyone that Nietes isn't on Ring's p4p list?

How is Rigo or Kovalev or Spence being rated and not Nietes, at this point? Am I crazy for not getting this? I'm not saying those aren't three excellent fighters, but for their standing RIGHT NOW, I don't get how they're above Nietes.

I was guilty of severely and criminally underrating Wonjongkam during his latter years. And I loved/love Pong. In retrospect, he was every bit of elite P4P, higher than the 8-10 spots I had him lurking about.

Nietes warrants respect and this thread is a good point and reminder.

Very much agree with you, I'd rank him above all 3 of those names. The guy is a master craftsman.

The little guys just don´t get the deserved attention.

But boy oh boy! Nietes is now at 115. And 115 is lit!
Nietes, Estrada, Sor Rungvisai, Gonzales, Ancajas, Yafai, Arroyo, Cuadras and many more.

Nietes is a B+ fighters who's resume is full of C to B- fighters. So let's not overrate him.

You could probably make a case that this is true of everyone but Wangek.

    Yes.
He should have signed with GBP if he wanted to be featured on their list.

You don't want to go that route son, Lopez is a universally recognized ATG.

I like Nietes… but many of his wins are not against great fighters... think his opposition has been kind of weak when he has been fighting for the vacant titles
