We are not going to see Fury fighting anyone serious. He will still be fighting bums this time next year.

No one on these forums considers Charr a genuine world champion, and it’s disingenous to claim otherwise

Regardless of whether it's a legitimate title it puts him in a mandatory position and they can force the Joshua fight if needs be.

I’m not sure how anyone worked out who Fury can and can’t beat, or how good or bad he is now, from saturday performance.
It was a complete joke from the opening bell, before it actually, and was just Tyson being a f.ucking idiot tbh, and I like him as a fighter.
There was NOTHING to gauge his ability on, it was panto with a willing panto partner.
Now Floyd Mayweather could have messed about like that for 4 rounds in sparring and it wouldn’t have told us how fight ready he is.
Fury looked poor but clearly wasn’t focused at all.

The only thing personally I could take from Saturday is he needs a new corner team, could you ever imagine a Manny Steward, Freddie Roach, hell even Peter Fury or Rob McCraken etc fighter acting like that without a slap and being told to get a grip or they’d stop the fight.

Ben may be great for Tyson’s mind, but clearly doesn’t have what it takes to focus him, or make him respect him.

I won’t ever watch Fury again after than farce, but he’s easily the most talented heavyweight, just means f.uck all if it’s not channelled correctly.

Not really - Manuel Charr is nowhere near being a mandatory for Joshua, nor will he be as it's seen as a separate world title

When you've been watching boxing for as long as I have you'd say theres no such thing as 100% in boxing.

Except when discussing shot fighters, once you're shot you're shot. 100%.

I’ve rewatched the fight back this morning and round 4 was actually okay but the others were pointless and tyson got nothing out of them. If tyson fought like he did in round 4 from the first bell there wouldn’t be half the criticism there is now.

Go back and just watch round 4 and nothing else. If he fights like that all the time instead of clowning I see a success against a top heavyweight coming as soon as early 2019

Really. He can apply to the WBA to be installed as mandatory but he will vacate his regular title although he is not under any obligation to do so.

There's too much politics in boxing but can someone clarify if I'm right or mis-understood here:
If Fury wins WBA regular and becomes WBA mandatory - doesn't he only get 25%?
No way he's every gonna accept that.. If that is the case he'd be better off avoiding mandatory and just getting a fight with AJ/Wilder next year where he can get more than 25

That's correct if it went to purse bids.

Which I think BT and Warren will hope for? That’s the only way they’re getting him on that channel.
