Well the thread actually asks for light heavyweights that Monzon would defeat so Moore would not be a good mention.

A few of us have gone a teeny bit off topic which is sometimes half the fun.

So when you argued in favour of jones magically the thread was not about monzon exclusively. When i mentioned a perfect example to desmantle your argument for jones then the topic did turn again to monzón.

Yes yes john.i know i know you will answer forever

I am pretty sure that i will not find a single post where you did admit that you was wrong with me.. And just the idea of thinking that you was always right is laughable

It once looked like Hopkins had chosen a similar path, before he moved up (at 41!!) and achieved another level of greatness:

OP, sorry to digress, but how about a halfway house? Super Middle. I believe Monzon would be a top ten Super Middle. I have him at number ten (I make lists on gut feeling head to head, because I'm a frigging clown). Where, or upon meeting whom, do you personally feel his ceiling would be at 168?

I guess some accomplished middleweights at times will move up to light heavyweight, and give it a go, but not if there is a Bob Foster or Dwight Muhammed Quawi waiting to meet them. Hagler and Monzon knew better.

One you move into the elite levels of light heavyweight, power really matters.

I do think GGG could beat Kovalev or Stevenson. After he breaks Hopkins record for consecutive title defenses at middleweight, I wonder if he'd try it?

No its a intriguing question .super middle could be just right for Monza.. A fight with Eubank he possibly could win ,Benn v Carlos a classic. Not sure he'd get past Calz?
Then there's such as Leonard or Hearns who I place him above .

Moore was a fine middle but he didn't win a world title there and defend it.

Do you see me posting "fighter X DOES hit harder than fighter Y". How about Fighter A DOES beat fighter B" (in close matchups to boot).

How about yourself? Do you post such unprovable opinions as fact?
