Watch women fighting on UFC and you will see more heart than seen in many male UK boxers. Some of these fights are absolutely brutal with claret everywhere. As for Katie Taylor, great skills and better to watch than plodders such as Chisora, Crolla, Burns and McDonnell
Mate, you're wrong about the football. Massively. Just last year, FC Dallas Under 15 boys beat the US Women's national team 5-2. A few years back, the US Mens U-17 team played the USWNT three months before they won the Gold at the Olympics. The U-17 Men's team won 8-2
I typed a message out earlier, decided not to post it...then typed another and posted that instead. Anyway, it posted both posts Yeah, I didn’t know that about the u-15s beating the Women.
I'm with you in principle, of course. Women's sports is on the up and I personally like the idea of more women being into sports in general. I see loads of women at the boxing gym I go to; it's great to see. Women's skill at the top level will increase organically, which will make it more enjoyable to watch. Personally though I feel that the physical disparity the sexes will almost always ensure the men's variant is watched more. Bigger, faster, harder, stronger and all that. The tweets from the USWNT after losing to the u-17's highlighted that. To paraphrase, they simply said they were just too fast and too strong. I see women in the boxing gym that I can see are much more skilled than me. But just by watching the force in which they land on the bag compared to me (and I would not suggest I am a heavy hitter in the slightest) tells me that there's a reason we don't spar together.
She has been before. From Wiki: "Another event dubbed a "Battle of the Sexes" took place during the 1998 Australian Open[52] between Karsten Braasch and the Williams sisters. Venus and Serena Williams had claimed that they could beat any male player ranked outside the world's top 200, so Braasch, then ranked 203rd, challenged them both. Braasch was described by one journalist as "a man whose training regime centered around a pack of cigarettes and more than a couple bottles of ice cold lager".[53][52] The matches took place on court number 12 in Melbourne Park,[54] after Braasch had finished a round of golf and two shandies. He first took on Serena and after leading 5–0, beat her 6–1. Venus then walked on court and again Braasch was victorious, this time winning 6–2.[55] Braasch said afterwards, "500 and above, no chance". He added that he had played like someone ranked 600th in order to keep the game "fun".[56] Braasch said the big difference was that men can chase down shots much easier, and that men put spin on the ball that the women can't handle. The Williams sisters adjusted their claim to beating men outside the top 350.[52]"
That is not the point you nuthead. The Point is Boxing caters to a 95-99% Male Audience so why are we being served with Female Matchups on PPV Cards ? And personally the sight of women boxing makes me sick inside, but then again they have a right to box if they wish, but give them a serperate card so theirs a choice rather than forcing it on a PPV Card and Sat Fight Nights
If you have a taste to see women beating eachother to uncounsciousness, you are perveted and You have serious issues
WMMA is absolutely abysmal and I mean really, really aweful. It's even worse than women's boxing. I've honestly seen better street fights than that garbage. How anyone can watch that rubbish is beyond me.
