If he just walked straight in on Louis like he did Ruddock, he'd be a sitting duck for jabs and combinations....then again, Tyson was very durable and would get his own shots in as well

I don't know.... I can accept 1986 to 1989 Tyson beats Louis. 90-91 is in question. 95-97 I think Louis stops him. I think. 1998 and forward... Louis would have to make a concentrated effort to lose

Being dropped and being hurt aren't the same thing. Louis appeared to be unfazed as he rose to his feet. It's not like the bell saved him.

I have a hard time seeing 15 year old Tyson beating Max Schmeling

I have. Soaked it up like a sponge. Now what?

What's the point if he's never done it in a bout?

90-91 I lean towards Tyson winning. But yeah, 95-97 would be extremely interesting!

Tyson is probably the worst match up style for Louis.
Bigger, stronger, faster hands, faster feet, harder puncher, better chin, better defense...

Tyson is fast starting and has basically all advantages, I would expect him to stop Louis in the first few rounds.

Max Baer was better and couldn't do it.

I've said this once and will say it again, Tyson is all wrong for J.Louis , even Tyson in 1991. In historical perspective J.Louis is greater. But in a head to head? J.Louis in his prime got stopped by M.Schmeling got dropped by an fighter that looked like he belonged in a kitchen cooking, not in a boxing ring(Galento) damn near stopped by a 170 lbs B.Conn light heavy. Tyson even in 1991 still beats in version of J.Louis . Sorry about the reality check Louis fans ( I am one) but nothing Louis showed in his illustrious career suggest he could handle Tyson in 1991.

Louis got dropped a few times. Holmes got dropped a few times. Foreman got dropped a few times. They could all take a punch very well. Many get dropped over the course of a career even the durable guys. Heavyweight boxing is full of solid punchers.

Holmes got dropped by 2 of the biggest punchers in boxing history in Tyson and Shavers, also dropped by over 200 lbs Snipes with a perfectly thrown right hand, yes that happened, Foreman was dropped by Lyle ( one of the most viscous punchers in heavy history) Ali, (mostly sheer exhaustion) and Young ( focus?) I'd bet all of those fighters hit harder than Conn, or Schmeling, or Galento.
