He will be back next year straight into a title shot.

 

Well it's been a great ride.

TBH he's faced some quality champions, especially coming off never beating anyone above British level.

His last fight is statement enough for why he’s retiring, don’t need that long ass essay.

 

It seems like just yesterday that he was beating Hopkins. I hear he has a good union job.

He just grates on me. There are a few reasons why. One being that I find scousers generally quite annoying. Nothing he can do about that so perhaps a little unfair but he's also fairly deluded and been lucky to have been afforded so many opportunities.

Still had a solid domestic level career he can be proud of and I wish him the best post retirement.

bitter sweet news really, i dont know whether to laugh or cry.

tragically, no more out of the blue completely forgone smith title shots that interest no one.

but on the bright side, more time for his punditry that allows his truly captivating personality to shine through to tv audiences world wide.
