Come on dude, the hypocrisy in you correcting grammar and spelling is beyond comprehension at this point.

Either that or I missed the irony in a well thought out joke and you're actually a lot funnier than we all thought.

Although Tua does seem to have a lot of fans amongst the boards, who maybe overrate him and, whether or not one agrees that Tua had a few charmed results, if there's one thing he did look at home with, it was a slugfest. Tua was a half-decent pressure fighter and wasn't too bad at forcing a brawl to his liking, unless he was facing smarter opposition, e.g. Lewis and Byrd. And, the only opponent I can think of, who really out-slugged Tua, was Ibeabuchi, in their memorable contest - a bout quite like it we may not see for some time.

So here is, in my opinion, the problem with Peter... ...He's not Lewis or Byrd or Ibeabuch.

He doesn't have the smarts to take advantage of Tua's limitations; wouldn't be able to control the distance between him and Tua; wouldn't be able to prevent Tua from turning their match into a slugfest. Instead, I think Peter might have had a tendency to be easily led into one, anyway.

And so, if one can accept that their fight would probably have been a brawl, then I think the odds have to favor Tua - heavily. Because, perhaps more important than Peter not being technically proficient enough to outbox Tua from the outside, he's not a great brawler, either; not on Tua's level. Peter would just end up being a big target for Tua to whale on for 12 rounds, should it last that long (and it probably wouldn't).

    Auto spell check.....Great breakdown.

Peter beat better fighters and actually was a champion, he shuts Tua out over 12.

    Easy work.

Then I'd say: I already have and I cannot see the comparison between a 38 year old, counter-punching, chubby middleweight and a prime David Tua. Nor do I think, as some seem to imply on these boards, that Peter put on some sort of boxing master class against Toney.

A bout between Tua and Peter would have been a very different affair.

If he can outbox Toney he can outbox a guy who's just as short but with tiny little arms and about 4 stone overweight.

The best version of Tua from the Bruce Bellocchi fights?? He pulverizes Peter .

Peter would not be able avoid his left hook and would take it flush over and over again like a heavy bag. He falls within 4 rounds and doesn't get back up. Peters durability was overrated. MaCline amost knocked him out in the second round and would have had he been better prepared. He took the fight on short notice and was out of shape.

Tua was better than Peter in every department aside from the jab.

Sure - Because, Toney's height had everything to do with him losing to Peter.

The difference in wingspan between Tua and Toney is next to nothing, while the difference in their respective styles is significant.

Tua, a career heavyweight, in his prime, weighed less than ex-middleweight Toney did for Peter.

    Thanks for the comedy

The thought of Peter pitching a shutout elicited a genuine, coffee-spitting moment...

But even Toney at heavyweight beat better names than Tua.

Watch the second Toney-Peter fight. Peter could probably win the fight by sticking to a hard but sloppy jab and clumsy lateral movement. Rahman pretty much did exactly that in the Tua rematch.

The difference in styles; pace; workrate; prime vs. not prime; a natural heavyweight vs. an over-fed middleweight, are all lost on you, aren't they?

For you, it's all about the "names", which should be 'name' (singular), as far as Toney is concerned and, in any event, is a moot point.
