He twice ducked Ustinov already, pulling out of a fight with him twice. Plus Ustinov looked shot vs Charr, would be a waste of his time and not put him in a better position. Pulev would be a good fight on paper, think he'd crush Pulev who looked very poor vs Johnson. But can't see Pulev risking it and Ortiz got kicked out of the IBF rankings for his failed test, so IBF wouldn't sanction it. WBC is the only sanctioning body that will rank Ortiz at the moment because of that failed test. His options are very limited because of this, nobody in a mandatory position or looking to fight an eliminator can fight him if it's not the WBC route.

It's clear Ortiz needs another fight this year and hopefully no bum fight otherwise i think retirement is near. He looked in decent shape vs Wilder, was able to fight 9-10 rounds on a high level like his opponent but another year without fighting would be too much.
Wouldn't be a surprise if Wilder/Breazeale was next, Beazeale said himself a while back he was penciled in for July/Aug for Wilder and with the AJ fight not likely happening until Nov/Dec, if at all, he has time to fit in an interim fight.
I dont know but I like this kid alot. Great style. Too bad he got all this attention late in his career. He could see him in many great fights.
Ortiz was in great shape for that fight with Wilder and every heavyweight out there knows that. He danced and he moved throughout the fight. Whyte was running his mouth and did a 360 when opportunity to actually get the fight presented itself. Joshua ducked the mandatory and Parker looking everywhere else besides Ortiz. Call him what you want but the fact is that he strikes fear in the B boys.

Ortiz can come back for sure..i would like to see him take on the winner of the Whyte/Parker fight...and depending on how Chisora/Takam turns out he could go up against one of them. Oh and i bet the people who are saying he is old and past it are the same people that said he would KO Wilder lmao!!
Nah, he just has little hope of ever winning a belt. He can still make some very nice paydays, if the top ten guys have balls enough to face him. If he beats Breazeale (no easy thing) and by then Hearn is still ducking Wilder, than a Wilder rematch would make a lot of sense.
Losses like that add on years though, especially on grandpa Ortiz who as previous posters mentioned, doesn't seem to be the most ambitious fella. I can only imagine that loss has took even more ambition from him in his elderly years. I really can't see him getting motivated for a hard camp once again. I'm an Ortiz fan so hope I'm wrong.
