No boxer shorter than 6 foot 4 inches would be favorite to beat modern super heavyweights

rahman might be sure, but Byrd isnt becasue Vitali didnt rematch him, nor with brewster because Wlad waited till the man was retired blind.

how come they only have "rare one off victories" when you notice its against someone very tall....but they have "common victories" for their other fights.
SUrely thats because they have fought few who are really tall.

lol u really are a fcukwit.

He's a sterling example of both confirmation bias and the Dunning-Kruger effect. If only rank stupidity were capable of self-recognition.

Byrd spent 3-4 years as the #1 HW during the mid 00's.. The was the highest rated HW in the world when Wlad fought him in 06.

Prior to that fight he had beaten -

    Williamson 6'4
    MaCline 6'6
    Jeff Pouges 6'3
    Maurice Harris 6'4
    Golota (draw) 6'4
    Vitali Klitschko 6'7

I love how Deontay Wilder is always included among modern superheavyweights despite the fact that he weighs little more than a rehydrated cruiserweight on fight night. By that rationale any emaciated stringbean can be a SHW, and plenty of those have been beaten down by shorter fighters in the past, and continue to be beaten down by them today.

This. Vitali's trainers wouldn't let Byrd near Vitali ever again, since the same result would happen every time. Vitali had a rematch clause, but instead fought a much less skilled and easier opponent like Timo Hoffmann. Vitali for the rest of his career cherry picked old, fat, and slow opponents. Byrd was forced to fight the much better Klitschko brother in Wlad, who he did lose a lopsided decision to.

I also agree that Wlad waited 3 years to fight Brewster again, who by 2007 was shot, inactive, and coming off a loss. That wasn't the same Brewster that he fought in 2004.

I think they should make a new division tallerweight division and fat arse weight division for shorter fatty heavyweights.

    Couple of questions:

What makes Wilder a "real super heavyweight"?

How much did Wilder weigh in his last fight?

Wilder is a tweener like David Haye and Muhammad Ali.

why do you keep mentioning David Haye and Evander Holyfield in the same sentence as Muhammad Ali, like they were anywhere near the same size. Let me explain, Evander's first heavyweight fight at age 26 he weighed just 202lbs of which by the time he was in his early thirties he was just weighing 215lbs(man weight) but only after years of gym work drinking protein shakes and whatever else, David Haye fought in march of 2008 at 198lbs aged 28yrs (man weight) and after 7 or 8 months building himself up in the gym and drinking protein shakes started weighing between 210 -215 to fight at heavyweight, in other words blowing themselves up to become heavyweights. Now Ali just aged 22years old (baby weight) was already 210lbs for his first championship fight, in 1967, against Zora Foley he weighed 212-213lbs aged 25yrs (child weight) then into his exile for three and a half years. In march 1971 aged 29yrs (now man weight) Ali weighed 215lbs for Frazier then in July of same year 220-221lbs for Ellis then in November 71 the same year 227lbs for Mathis and December same year back down to 220lbs for Jurgen Blin in other words its no secret Ali had to train DOWN to try and get under 220lbs where the others trained up for years to try and get anywhere near Ali's size, just like the cruiserweights like USYK you try to compare him with (JOKER). Now I know you don't want to hear this but it means that in 68-69 Ali's prime years he would have been weighing somewhere between 215-225lbs depending on the opponent making him the fastest real fully fledged heavyweight there has ever been. even against a SHW like Joshua who's best weight is 238-42lbs not 250lbs as proven by the Takam fight there would probably only be 18lbs in it and with Ali's superior speed chin and endurance these SHW would have big problems.

You really think Ali was much bigger than Usyk? I think they look to be very similar in size particularly if you consider Ali most likely held a higher bodyfat%? Then again I'm just going off my own eyes I haven't researched this at all.

Size is why Jorge Luis Gonzalez was what peak performance at heavyweight looked like throughout the 90's.

    Usyk is
Usyk is 31 and down at 199lbs I think Ali would have struggled to do that between 28-31 years old maybe when he was 22yrs old but like I said Ali trained down to get under 220lbs dancing weight as he called it,thats why he could easily move between 215 -227 in space of a few months and of course he didn’t go in gym to look chiselled and pumped up like modern athletes just mainly sparring running and old fashioned strength training makes sense doesn’t it, and it’s hard to argue with facts.
