Prime Tyson...Ali....Foreman to name a few would have a field day against the Slow one Dimensional Heavyweights We have today....apart From Joshua and Wilder both would have struggled in that Golden Era the rest are possibly the Worst era of Heavyweights I have ever seen....imagine what they would have done to a slow Fat unfit Tyson Fury and he is ranked number 3 at the moment...most Heavyweights back then were Fit Chiselled and in an Era where if you be sorted out pretty quickly if you were not up to that standard...I see some of the Fighters ranked very highly in the division now and the condition of them is an absolute Disgrace.!!!!

Keep in mind Ali never had to dehydrate to make weight (whether he liked to trim down or not) whereas Usyk boils down under 200lbs to weigh in under the cruiser limit before rehydrating up to 215-220(?) or thereabouts. If and when Usyk does campaign at heavyweight he will undoubtedly come in heavier still.

Frankly I'm surprised Usyk and especially Gassiev don't have problems making the sub 200lb limit as they look huge.

While I disagree that a fighter under 6' and under 230 would not be able to be a reigning champion, I still feel we need a SHW division.

It's just the way it is with people being bigger and keep getting bigger.

6 foot 3 would make them only a couple inches shorter than Wladimir.

If the claim was "shorter than 6 foot," it might be more agreeable.

Lamon Brewster is 6 foot 2 inches tall. He KO'd Wladimir.

Chris Byrd is 6 foot 0 inches tall. He TKO'd Vitali.

Don't like saying this, but it couldn't be more appropriate: "End thread." And you're a dumbass if you agree with the thread.

What many of these who support a SprHW division do not realize is, how many fighters would this division have? Like 6? 7? And that included Price BTW.

    I agree.

I almost think a better alternative to a 240+ super heavyweight division would be to remove cruiserweight entirely, make heavyweight 175-210, then make super heavyweight unlimited above that.

For the record, I am very much in favor of not messing with anything.

Same. It would be different if we had a lot of SprHW's. But the simple fact of the matter is, there aren't enough combatants to necessitate the need for another division. I guess it's something to look at occsionally, in the long run. If boxing exists in the long run.

Evander Holyfield boxes circles around Joshua and probably beats Klitschko based on young Holyfields stamina, workrate and footspeed and how easily Wlad gasses when he can't grab all the time.
Ike ibeabuchi is bad news for everyone today except peak Fury.
6'2 would be more appropriate as a limit
And although Mike Tyson might or might not bedominant today he does have more than a 10% chance against all of these guys. Prime mike had Elite reflexes chin and body punching ability which are often overlooked so even if he can't reach fury's chin easily he can reach his body.

I haven’t seen any proof Usyk gets anywhere near 215lbs especially straight after weigh in, 16lbs in a couple of days? But if he does once again that’s 31 year old heaviest without putting more weight training in and shakes or peds, once again ALi regularly trained hard to get under the 220lbs mark not rehydrating up or whatever, you only have to look at Ali’s legs they are big and his frame to see he is a genuine heavy. Maybe it’s the speed you can’t belive for a man 20-25lbs heavier making Usyk look like he’s nailed to the floor. Don’t let the trolls make you think Ali is a cruiser weight it’s bull****.

I would make prime Pov a favourite over any current HW.

I would bet the farm on Foreman (from Frazier 1) to clean up on either of Joshua or Wilder.

(I would actually fear for Deontay's life !)

I'd pick Liston over any current HW, inc Fury.

And of course, Ali, who could probably dispatch any two of these guys on the same night.

And Deontay has done nothing so far to persuade making him a favourite over a host of shorter men including Dempsey, Louis, Marciano, Frazier or even Quarry.

If you are 6 foot and only 4 inches. That's below average.

Ali weighed 201 lbs during his prime on same day weigh in.

He is way smaller than Usyk.
