I haven't used any language other than english ***** Do you think I give a **** that I get banned? Pretty sure I haven't been banned 6 times but glad I'm living rent free inside your head! Do you think about me before you got to sleep? Ah who am I kidding, of course you do! Go ahead and report me lmfao I have a life outside of this forum. I don't worry about **** that goes on here. I live my life and pop in every now and then when I'm bored. Sounds like you've made it your life's work to report people who disagree with you. You shouldn't be such a snowflake. And if I do get banned I promise I won't be "helping Mom out with the laundry", I'll probably be taking your mom for a ride in your laundry room /endthreaddropsmic
No I didn't. You're lying again. I said that the people wanted to see Brennan fight Dempsey over Greb. How can Greb deserve a title shot when Wills wasn't given a title shot?
If the question is “how could Greb deserve a title shot if Wills wasnt being afforded one?” The answer is simple. If you believe the argument that given the racial climate of the 1920s a heavyweight championship match between a black man and a white would have been unpopular and unacceptable then it falls to Greb. That racial argument is completely false in my opinion as evidenced by the massive support Wills benefitted from, numerous polls he won proposing a Dempsey challenger, and multiple high dollar offers from promoters to stage the match. BUT if you can believe that argument then you have to say “if Dempsey will not defend against the most qualified and threatening BLACK contender then he must defend against his WHITE counterpart. Regardless of size Greb defeated four of Dempsey’s six title challengers before they got title shots. The other two flat out refused to fight him. Along the way Greb defeated proposed Dempsey challengers Madden, Renault, Roper, Weinert, Smith, conclusively, often numerous times. I have never seen an argument whereby any HW challenger stood out, based on their record, skills or accomplishments, above Grebs in the division during this time. So logic dictates that outside of Wills the next best challenger was Greb, regardless of size.
Ah there’s your true personality coming out. We already know you made homophobia related comments directed toward me and Mcvey Mods will clean you out soon
What in the hell are you possibly talking about? NOBODY claimed Dempsey was 198 vs Willard. I mean the fact that Dempsey looks considerably bigger than Brennan in photos of the bout is enough evidence too. So let me get this straight, I have to prove that Dempsey was 198 even though the newspaper says so but you don't have to prove that Dempsey weighed 188 even though no sources back you up? 196 vs Porky Flynn 198 vs Carl Morris 200 vs Tom Riley 190 vs Gunboat Smith 193 vs Luis Firpo There's a majority of Dempsey's fights that don't list a weight. I'm sure he weighed in the 190s at least on more than those occasions. Probably depended on the fight. Maybe he cut some more weight for added speed, maybe he bulked a little for strength. It doesn't matter anyway, Dempsey could weigh in the 190s when he wanted.
Not people, him. Mr dago Wop. He called me and Mcvey a homosexual, and tried to make Mcvey commit suicide. He also seriously insulted Edward a fine old man to the point where Edward put him on ignore You got an issue with that unforgiven you take it up with me in PM
Hard shots from a 187lb fighter whose much weaker than the 6’3 220lb foreman You’re making Dempsey seem more intelligent than he actually was in the ring...against Firpo he charged in recklessly. He got hit a lot on film, sometimes flush. And stunned. He had fast hands but so did Frazier. The speed didn’t matter. You’ve also undervalued foreman’s strengths. He hit harder than Dempsey took a better punch was much bigger and stronger... Dempsey’s not going to beat him by pot shotting him ...he’s going to have to go toe to toe like he did in most of his major fights. And he’s going to lose badly to the bigger man ... In my opinion Frazier was bigger and better than Dempsey and foreman bounced him around like a yo yo
Nevertheless he was KO1. A heavy handed fighter like Lyle was needed to put Foreman on his ass by heavy shots. Dou you rate Firpo in Lyles league? Willard was never down? What? You fail to count how many times this guy went down, to get up with an unproper fast count, just to find Dempsey standing over him and banging away. No neutral corner, no nothing. What ****ing circus is this? This content is protected A commentator for this fighter even mentioning: Willard has his back turned and even with his back turned Dempsey knocks him down for the fourth time....and he´s certainly trying as hard as he can..Willard continues to get up and Dempsey is getting arm weary! What proof of punching power/finishing power is that? No neutral corner. No proper count. Dempsey standing over Willard trying as hard as he can to get a guy out, shot like a drugged deer with no time to recouver from the shots. Dempsey even getting arm weary, not able to let the victim sleep with his "power". Yep I guess thats a proof of real heavy handed punching power and superb finishing abilities in rose tinted fanatsy land
Dempsey eventually would storm in against foreman because that’s how he attacked most of his opponents on film...he was a tiger who loved to go toe to toe. He wasn’t an outside boxer
It's not an indicator of how his performance would be against Flynn. Punching ability? Yes. Skill? No, definitely not. Never said that. Do you know how many times Willard went down? You just said he went down dozens of times. I'm curious to see what you'll say now.
